You can still send in a photocopy of the passport it should be okay as for the tax return files call the IRS and get copies of your tax return transcripts anything submitted online they will have a record of it.

Birth certificate or passport, take your choice, what did he use to bring you over here?

In regards to evidence, that new listing of for marriage states you only need three years of tax returns, transcripts are the easiest and the best, takes about a week to get them calling that IRS 800 number. But have yet to read a respondent that got by with just tax returns.

In our stage, had to provide every bit of evidence, even a worthless utility bill that is not even mentioned in that long list. Just wonder if you printed out that new attachment and showed that to your IO, that three years of tax returns is all you need for evidence.

A still need all that marriage certificate, divorce, proof of citizen #######, when they already have all that stuff. How in the hell do they think you got through that AOS and ROC stage to get your green card in the first place? Its against our state law to even make a copy of our marriage certificate, a $10,000 fine if you do. So they have three of these marriage certificates at eight bucks a piece. No wonder why my wife told me her file was over three inches thick.

Tax transcripts are the easiest way to satisfy the USCIS, each year should come in its own envelop, would leave each one in its original opened envelop as they look more official that way. Not easy to read with all those IRS codes, but your IO should be able to read both your names on it and the tax year date. And that is about as far as they should go with it.

For most tax returns, typically get a single sided sheet. You copy those and submit those with your application, saving the originals to bring in with your interview.

Joked with my wife and these would be easy to forge with all the fonts available on computers today. All we are lacking is a dirty old blurry printer to print them out on. Of course, you don't want to do that, easy enough to check the validity of these.
