NO AOS Approval Since Aug 1st at NBC without Interview

I have been trying to track approval for AOS that were sent or held at NBD/MSC since August 1st. I have not seen even one person approved that was not transfered to a local office for an interview. Is there anyone out there who has seen or gotten approval since August 1st at MSC/NBC?

Now I see that Dream act applications are also being sent to NBC for processing. How are we ever going to get AOS approval at NBC at this rate. Very frustrating to be at the 7 month mark.

You took the words right out of my mouth! :bonk: It is ridiculous that approval for AOS from K1 should take this long.

Ours was received at NBC on 13 JULY but we had an RFE and they received our response on 16 AUG. (Not sure if we are now a JULY or AUG based on that) but either way, this is the last we have heard from them: "Request for Evidence Response Review On August 16, 2012, we received your response to our request for evidence. This case is being processed at our NATIONAL BENEFITS CENTER location."

From K1 submission to US Citizenship- 2 years, 1 month and 2 days!

K-1 Process

• 23 MAR 2012 - NVC received/forwarded approved I-129F
• 25 April 2012 - Interview and Visa Approved!
• 27 APR 2012 - Collected Visa at Embassy

*It took 46 days from NOA1 to Visa pick-up and we received our NOA2 two weeks AFTER her arrival in States!

AOS Process

• 23 JUL 2012 - NOA I-797C received for I-485 and I-765 (we didn't do an AP)
• 10 AUG 2012 - RFE for Proof of Employment and Fed. Poverty Level/Support Requirement!(Active Duty Military but deployed last year with little taxable income to report)

I think NBC should re-word the notice. Instead of saying the case is being processed at our National Benefits center location; It should say this case will now be left to sit on a desk for 9 months until someone screams and complains for us to process it....

Seriously... I don't think they have processed any cases there since they stopped transferring them to CSC. I have not seen anyone whose case stayed at MSC post that they have been approved. The only people getting approved are those lucky enough to be sent on to their local office for an interview and they are getting approved quick! There is no reason it should take this long to adjust from K1! Like you said I am really sick of waiting! :bonk:

AT the very least, they could update our status with something like - don't worry, your case isn't lost - its here, sitting in our pile!

You have been waiting a month longer than us- have you contacted anyone yet? I figured I would wait to the 7 month mark

I'm the july person who got approved today. I've kept my timeline up to date and my signature. Here is my post from the July thread

Yes, No transfer notification, No interview, no RFEs, nothing. It stayed there the whole time

The status changed today. I got two emails within 3 hours of each other today.

One that said Your Case Status: Decision

The other Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production

I checked the website and it had been updated there also.

I did put in a service request 5th of Feb and got a pretty standard response that others seem to have been getting also. See below.

Based on your request we researched the status of this case. The National Benefits Center (NBC) is actively processing this case. However, NBC has to perform additional review on this case and this has caused a longer processing time. If you do not receive a decision or other notice of action from us within 6 months of this letter, please contact customer service at the number provided below.

8/31/2011 I-129f sent... Come on...no whammies

I have called them multiple times but they keep saying they are processing July cases or that we are withing normal processing times. I plan to call them again on Saturday. :(

I haven't waited that much yet (but something tells me I probably will..) but wanted to say that today when I phoned USCIS (cos it doesn't still appear online after 2months) I got told that normal processing time they work towards to, for I-485, is 4 months. Their advice is to phone back in May if I don't hear anything..

I know their words don't count much, but just wanted to share.... how ridiculous all this is.... let's see the bright side tho, at least the wait is at this side of the continent and not miles apart from our half!
