Filipino and American consult interviews are standard procedures but 2 hours and sworn statement of fraud could be case-to-case basis.

They kept your passport and no 221g given to you, so I'm assuming you're approved or will go through Administrative Processing.

Good luck!

what is the administrative processing? thanks

two hours of interview??? maybe she really doubted your relationship with your fiance? what do u think made her ask you so many questions? what did you pass as proof of relationship. im having my interview soon and i hope i don't get questioned that long.

i think there is a problem with her ex husband the consul was asking me why her ex still living in her apartment but they were divorce and separated for long time. i'd showed all the proof that our relationship is genuine.

Do you mean they had you sign the DS156k stating you are telling the truth......

[/quote

it's not the DS156k all the question and answer to the interview was printed out and i signed it out and i sworn to the consul that all the answer i told was truth and nothing but the truth

Hold up. Back that thing up "sworn statement of fraud"?. They didn't give you any paper at all no 221g nothing? I would be calling or emailing.

she didn't give me any paper or 221g.. she printed out all the question and answer she asked me and signed it. when i read it it states sworn statement anti- fraud..

How did the consular officer know that your fiancée is living in the same apartment as her ex?

Just because they kept your passport doesn't mean that your visa will be approved. Two recent examples of this are VJ members Phildetroit and JFitz.

I wish you the best of luck. :star:

hello vj's family.. i just finished my interview this day, it's very tough interview because they interviewed me twice one american consul and one filipina consul. the filipina consul interviewed me for two hours asking every detail of our relationship of my fiance. after my interview the consul didn't told me anything if i'm approved or denied and didn't returned my passport... now i'm bothered am i approved or denied? please advice me i don't know what to do next... thanks

We had same experienced! I was interrogated in room 44 for two hours too! And I tell you, felt exhausted mentally and phusically after the interview! The good thing is that if they keep your passport it means you are approved. You can track your visa in www.ceac.state.gov. then go to "immigrant" click status visa and put your MNL case no then click submit. If visa status is "ISSUED" then you are approve.

I got my visa after 6 working days.

Yes its an affidavit with your information on it and saying all the information you told them is true and correct, you raised your right hand and sworn. After I signed the affidavit i asked for a copy and asked them if i am denied. The good thing is that the one who interrogated me is from my hometown (but we dont know personally, he just mentioned after a long interrogation and we talked in our regional language(waray). After i sworn and signed the affidavit i asked him and the white american (i think he is the head of fraud department) if i am denied, they laughed together and told me, you can go home now and we will contact you 1-2 weeks. Girl, i tell you i was so deppressed while on my way home and cried so much when i reached home. But my fiance check my visa status and He told me to cheer up because my visa was ISSUED!

im sure you are approved.. sometimes american consul especially those consul at window 61, the black american, about late 30's or

early 40's.. she didnt say you are approved or not.. just said ok.. you're papers look good, you can now seat and wait for your number to be called again... so as the old american guy at window 64.. those who are at windows 62 and 63, they did tell you that you are approved... i didnt know if they are being reshuffled but i was interviewed by a white american woman, she greeted me, she's very approachable, though i felt nervousness which obviously normal, her attitude towards me plus her way of asking questions didnt turned like interrogating me... about filipino consul, he is guy about middle 30's.. its just ok.. no hard questions.. it didnt take so much time.. im done with him about 5 minutes... just keep on praying and everything will be fine.. relax and wait for your visa..
