see though 6 days doesn't mean 6 days as we see it today... and that is all I am going to say about that....

Maybe he created it in 6 days, but it certainly didn't happen 5,000 years ago. Or 50,000 years ago.

Or even 50,000,000 years ago. Try 15,000,000,000 years.

Or do you think God created it 5,000 years ago but made it look like it's 12-20 billion years old?

I mean, damn, that's a lot of work. He just had to create isotope pairs - such as rhenium

(Re-187) which decays into osmium (Os-187) with a half-life of 40 billion years. He had to

plant some 4-billion-year-old rocks on the surface of the Earth and 4.5-billion-year-old meteorites.

He had to create white dwarf stars as heavy as the Sun and a million times denser than water

which glow from residual heat and have taken 10 billion years to cool to their present state.

All those things just to fool us. And then he found Moses and told him to write down a bunch

of ####### in Hebrew.

Yah. I believe it.

We learned of Mark's hidden talents during that boys vs. girls game a few weeks ago. Dayum, mawilson, where'd you learn this stuff?

Your logic has some flaws...You're assuming that:

1. If you are an atheist you are not a homophobic;

not true. I have a great friend who was an atheist and terribly homophobic. Most prejudices come from fear of the unknown (aka ignorance).

2. If you believe in some kind of deity, then you are against gay marriage

Congrats. You managed to confuse belief with religion and as a plus you state that people that have a religion are intolerant.

I asked for the convincing reasons why it is wrong to practice homosexuality, I didn't ever say that all atheists are tollerant of this practice.

I have also not stated that all people who adhere to a faith system are homophobic, what I am saying is that it is illogical to believe something simply because you are told something is right or wrong.

If something is wrong, there should be reasoned argument to persuade us that it is so, this is not something that is forthcoming thus far in the case of homosexuality.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

I think that neither atheism nor belief in God are unnatural. It's natural and a part of human nature to question and wish for proof and to not believe in something if there doesn't seem to be be adequate proof. It all depends on how much "proof" you require, I guess. I also think it's natural to believe in something greater than ourselves. Human beings have been doing both for thousands of years.

What is unnatural, imo anyway, is having an unquestioning belief in something without ever searching for proof or thinking about any real REASONS to believe what you believe.
