Interestingly, is an atheist a more rounded personality because they have chosen to behave in a certain way based on reasoning rather than making choices that are determined by fear or because they are told that they should do/not do certain things?

Are you saying the Pope would be less rounded personality than an average Joe atheist ?

My cat is an atheist.

You don't buy what?

Does the US head of state have to be religious? Isn't there meant to be a separation of church and state? It is really very odd that such a mighty nation should continue to allow religion to dictate its ethics, no?

for that matter, does he or she have to be atheist?

you are correct brother charles..i got conned into buying a gay cat porn video on ebayt

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Unless religions choose to admit behaviour such as homosexuality are infact not evil or sinful, then anyone who adheres to a religion that demands the followers do not practice these behaviours is following a dictat rather than using common sense, perhaps?

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Faith doesn't throw out reason. On the contrary, faith in God comes through reasoning.

Some of the greatest philosophers believed in God.

The Pope is an interseting example, being as, in my opinion, the Catholic church promotes some very archane views which serve more to retain the churche's political/social power structure than to promote truly religious values, however I didn't intend to get into my opinion...
