Yes we are and it is wrong IMO. And exactly the reason why the state should not be involved in marriage at all.

should they put such on the internet then? just download the papers and get married, no state oversight?

Marriage is the church/temple/mosque's business. Each should be able to decide what they define to be marriage, one man/one woman, two men, etc. The state should be concerned with civil unions, which we should all require in order to receive the benefits associated.

ETA: I think all of this has been discussed to death in the other thread though. From now on I'll stick to discussing the unnatural athiests instead of the unnatural gays. LOL.

Look I have nothing personal against religion. It has never crossed my path, so I am not insulting anyone here. Others may have had bad experiences of it...but I haven't.

But, MY common sense tells me the earth was NOT formed in 6 days. You can believe what you want. It doesn't affect me in the slightest. Nor do my beliefs affect yours...
