cool.Do you think August filers will get NOA2 this or next month? It's been 7months in 10days.Seems can see hope now.thanks.

I WISH I can give you an accurate answer but I'll be lying to you...There's no way to tell. But if the made the decision to moved those cases to another service center, it's because the USCIS thinks is the right thing to do to speed things up.

"Obviously" they should be approving pending cases from mid 2012 (May-sep) first and then keep moving with the rest of the pending month. As far as I know they are processing early July (Vermont). But hopefully they will update the charts of the processing times and we may see some improvements.

WOW! I'm so sorry to hear that! it's ridiculous how much time they are taking! Geez...it took me 229 since my husband and I filed for my k1 visa until we got married a month later after my arrival...

Hopefully you will hear something very soon!

Thank you. Yeah it is a little ridiculous now. I have called Tier 2 reps at USCIS and I have been in constant contact with my Congressman as well about it. I am here in the States and my fiance is in the Bahamas waiting on this to come through as we did not want to renew his tourist visa which in the end, we should have done to ease the burden of visiting, but we did not think it would take this long. I can only assume I must be able to hear something in the next 2 weeks. I just wish they would update processing times again. The last time was Dec. 31, 2012 and they were working on July 2, 2012 so I have not exceeded processing times since we are July 12. Crazy as I thought I would be married by now and we would be starting our life together here in Texas.

a friend told me this morning ins is going to lay off many agents/officers for the 85billion in cuts passed last friday and will assign cbp and other officers to take up the slack

I dont think this move affects AOS...I dont know what kind of petitions, nebraska works with but definitely not AOS. Since august 2012 AOS processing is been held by the National Benefit center

Sounds like there has been a lot of misinformed people on this site, lots of people have been blaming the CSC slow down on the dream act with little or no information that CSC is the processing centre for this application.

CSC does process dream act applications you can look this info up, they have 27000 pending applications. There are only 40,000 pending nationwide according to the graphs on USCIS

Can you find anything from the government that says Dream Act applications are the cause of the CSC slow down and not anything else?

So you assume that a government agency is suddenly hit with a ton of new applications that would normally not be coming in and that is not the cause of some backlog?

Logic would tell you that DACA is the reason for the slowdown and changes at USCIS since August 15th.

3/2/18  E-filed N-400 under 5 year rule

3/26/18 Biometrics

7/2019-12/2019 (Yes, 16- 21 months) Estimated time to interview MSP office.

Cause and effect.

Immigration is self funding so is not impacted by the slightly smaller increase in Government spending.

Yes, there is pdf doc that shows that actual intake and approval # of DACA from USCIS. Seach it. CSC have slowed way down because DACA are done by applicant's state service center, as you know thrre are a lot of mexicans in California.

There's not much difference between "we are pulling staff off of K1 applications to work on DACA applications" and "we have staffed appropriately for the large amount of DACA applications, oh, and the staff that were working on K1s will now be working on something else".

Where do they get their staff, and what are they working on besides K1 (and whatever else they are not working on, if any)?

But do we really know what they are working on instead of K1's? Can we really say that they are, or are not, working on DACA instead?
