I read some topics about this since the Dream act started, but I'm not sure if the CSC is NOT processing this kind of cases, maybe they do but Vermont has more weight in their shoulders right now. We can never be sure 100% I just hope the both of SC speed things up with all of the pending cases.

I hope that too! You're also the first person I'v seen produce government evidence of which centre has been processing the dream act stuff, so thanks for some very interesting factual information finally!

hahahaha! thanks...the USCIS website is such a reliable source of info and some tv news. But you know what? I truly understand some people, when they rush into conclusions, trying to find a logical answer and explanation for this crazy delayed on the processing times.

If I can be honest with you, my husband and I were a little bit worried about this Dream act issue cause we filed my AoS a week later after it started. We thought it will may cause some trouble to us.

The truth is, both of the services center are presenting a delay on the processing of immigrations petitions, so obviously something is causing it. Maybe the dream act, maybe they are running out of employees or maybe there are more people applying for immigrant visas, compare to other's years.

So hopefully, either way, this change on the dream act processing, may increase the NOAs 2 in a shorter period of time

I was watching immigration issues news and I just found out that the USCIS decided to move a huge amount of Dream acts cases from Vermont to Nebraska service center. The dream act started on july 2012, and some people thinks that this action may delayed the processing time of k1/k2/cr1/ir1 cases.

The USCIS staff member who was been interviewing, said that Vermont service center manage most of the immigration petitions /cases, so they had decide to move the DA to Nebraska to "speed things up" a little bit.

Im not a k1 visa anymore, but I hope you guys that this action really helps you!

good luck everyone

That's a great news and I hope they will do the same with CSC.Thanks for sharing! :)

You must have some personal reason to not believe DACA is affecting everyone. It's a pretty reasonable assumption that California filers go to CSC.

Here are timelines from a small forum of actual people going through the DACA process showing CSC, NSC & VSC getting DACA cases.

NOA1 - 8/24/2012

NOA2 - 3/18/2013 Only took 207 days at CSC

Oh geez, yeah, VSC needs to transfer DACA cases instead of CSC...

Yes, CSC is processing DACA cases, and continues to under process K1's, despite what the peanut gallery thinks/comments above.

well, no wonder why, some of the DACA's cases are process so fast, as far as I know they basically applying for EAD (work permits) and this usually takes 64 days or more. Yeah they have being processing a HUGE AMOUNT of cases, I think they never thought it could be this much. I was reading that it may be 7 million people (who can be beneficiary) so I guess they will need more employees :bonk:
