I was watching immigration issues news and I just found out that the USCIS decided to move a huge amount of Dream acts cases from Vermont to Nebraska service center. The dream act started on july 2012, and some people thinks that this action may delayed the processing time of k1/k2/cr1/ir1 cases.

The USCIS staff member who was been interviewing, said that Vermont service center manage most of the immigration petitions /cases, so they had decide to move the DA to Nebraska to "speed things up" a little bit.

Im not a k1 visa anymore, but I hope you guys that this action really helps you!

good luck everyone

Great! Cause I'm not a k1 visa holder anymore, I didn't notice that somebody already started a topic. I just saw it on a TV and wanted to share it.

I bet I'm not the only one who just found out

I just saw it on TV... the channel it's call Univision. I bet they have a website where you can read the info. I was curious about this and also found this info in the USCIS website also http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=cf53e5a4b7d1d310VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=e7801c2c9be44210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD

I heard this news the other day, rmcollins' thread probably. I'm getting processed at VSC so I'm definitely hoping the transfer of workload results in faster approval times for us ! Thanks for the good wishes !

Sounds like there has been a lot of misinformed people on this site, lots of people have been blaming the CSC slow down on the dream act with little or no information that CSC is the processing centre for this application.

Hope you're right ! Let the NOA2s rain !!

Keep positive! even when you feel like time is going slowly and nothing change, news like this, makes you feel you are getting closer to the end. Positive thoughts it was keeps me going through the days when I was waiting my NOA2. Instead of thinking how much time I had ahead, I rather to think that with every single day that came by, It was a day closer to be with my boo.

Time flies folks even if you don't feel like it...so be patient

I read some topics about this since the Dream act started, but I'm not sure if the CSC is NOT processing this kind of cases, maybe they do but Vermont has more weight in their shoulders right now. We can never be sure 100% I just hope the both of SC speed things up with all of the pending cases.
