My wife and I have been getting together the paperwork to send off for her to apply for residence. But a question has got us both stumped. Last year was a bad year for me and I didn't make too much money and I'm hoping that wont be a problem. The year before I made well over the needed limit but because that job ended and I got a lay off that is why this last year I didn't do as well. I recently got a new job that will insure me to be over the needed amount for how much I'm going to need to be able to "Provide" for her. But I got it in the later months of last year and so it didn't make a great impact on my taxes. Even though my taxes don't prove I made lots of money last year will that put a damper on us being able to file successfully? Keep in mind I do have an employment verification that would show that now will be over the needed amount to file.
