Are there any spouses of Nigerians in California? If so, please contact me. I would like to get some insight and suggestions for food choices and other items for my husband. I'm getting so excited about his potential to come here and join me. I also would like information on any Nigerian communities, shops, markets, tailors, etc. Any information that can keep him grounded to his culture and roots would be greatly appreciated. I wish we had a forum dedicated with lists of resources for those from Africa and where to get items in the United States. I guess I'm getting anxious! Sorry for the rant.

Also, does anyone know where to get Jamaican films? My husband loves them.

Sorry if you explained this already but I am confused about your timeline that asked you and your Spouse to come for an interview.

What tribe is your Spouse from? I am Yoruba.

Where in California ? There are large Igbo and Yoruba communities in the area. What state is he from ? I have the greatest tailor and many of the women sew for extra money.

My husband is from the Yoruba tribe and is from Lagos.

Prior to the approval of the I-130 Petition, I got a letter from a local USCIS office to come for an interview. At the interview, they asked me many questions about my relationship, family, etc, in addition to seeing original documents and pictures.

I live in Fresno, CA - the Central Valley but I'm sure he would love to travel elsewhere to various markets.
