Are There Any Fellow Americans who have successfully filed for their Jamaican Spouse? I am 20 years old, no lawyer, and have many questions. I just want my husband here with me. If there is anyone on here who has been through the filing process, please contact me.

This process takes a lot of time and patience. I filed in April 2011 and my husband got through in May 2012. Hang in there. I did the entire application on my own; just be honest and fill in everything they ask for. Hang in there. I know how you feel.

I did it alone. I wrote letters, spoke to them almost daily, emailed them and just kept asking questions and killed them with kindness and kept being presistent when I spoke to them I always spoke to a supervisor level 2 or highter over the phone and every email got answered by a level 2 supervisor.

I hope this helps :)
