My husband has his interview on March 12th in Sydney! We are flying there on the 10th.... I am nervous, but also excited!! Any words of advice for us?? I have put together a binder with dating, engagement, wedding, married life pictures for my husband to take to the interview. There are also other bits of proof in there... letters, cards, joint bank account info, etc. Are these things necessary to show? Anything else we need to show them? Do you think I (US Citizen) will be allowed to enter the interview with my husband?? I REALLY hope so!! Thanks for any help!

I have been told that only the non USC is allowed in the interview in Sydney. My husband and our daughter want to come but they can't.

Good luck

M.

Ok. Guess I will find out next week. On the consulate's website it says....

Does the U.S. citizen have to attend the interview?

For fiancé(e) and family-based (spousal or children – unmarried & under 21 years of age) visa applications, if the U.S. citizen is in Australia at the time of the applicant’s interview, we urge him or her to attend the interview with the applicant.

I guess it's up to whoever is the one doing the interview whether both spouses are allowed in?
