Beth65,congratulations on your mom's approval!

i just have a quick question- if you prepared I-130 for her, did your mom sign section E or you put N/A and you signed section F?

Thanks!

I'm talking about I-130 petition.....you said you filed for your mother.....

I wasn't for sure about the stuff you asked me earlier. But yes, I am her daughter USC. I have no clue what to start after my petition got approved last march 1, 2013. I should be gathering some informations and whatnot.

Are your i130 processed in Vermont? Mine is July 17,2012 I didn't heard any yet.

Next in your process will be NVC processing

Affidavit of support

Agent form

DS230

I filed mine last December 12, 2012 thru National Benefits Center and got approved this March 1,2013. That was a pretty fast processing I didn't expect that fast myself, but I thank God for NBC. I wish you luck and you should call them for details that's long way overdue now I think.

My petition for parents got approved last Feb.19 then I called NVC after few days and I was told they rec'd the information from USCIS in Feb. 26, also it will take up to 20 days for the case number to become available. I will call again after 20 days to follow up. What I'm tryng to do while waiting is have my parents gather the information we will need soon, like their orig civil docs, nbi clearance, passport photos, police clearance and they will also need to fill out and sign the ds 230 forms then mail them to me.

Thanks for your input I really appreciated. So, therefore I will ask my mom to print out the ds 230 form and fill it out and mail it to me then? That's all she needs to fill out for now?

Yes, she can already gather all the docs needed with the ds 230 signed and have her mail them to you. Here's the complete list of civil documents:

1)original birth certificate-NSO issued for your mom

2)original marriage certificate-NSO issued

3)copy of passport biographic page - that has name, dob & place of birth of your mom

4)two passport photos - 2x2 colored

5)original police clearance/certificate

6)NBI clearance

If you are the petitioner, you sign the Section E of I-130, The section F should be signed by someone who is preparing the form( example: lawyer, immigration atty.) But if you prepare it by yourself, then you should put N/A.
