Considering rescheduling K-1 Interview at new Delhi? Any thoughts?

I have my interview next to next friday (15th March). I am still waiting on Passport Clearance. It has reached LIU office but nobody has picked it up from the police station in 3 days despite our requests (the local police i believe is only the first step). I'm following up constantly, despite reassurances nothing moves.

I also think i need to get a new passport because my passport is damaged So im going to try and apply for a new passport in Tatkal?

1) How do I reschedule if I do end up doing that?

2) If I send a request to reschedule this friday, would I know before my interview (within 7 days)?

3) Has anybody rescheduled their interview recently (in like the last 6 months)? What was your experience?

4) How long does it take to get your passport in tatkal? Is there any way they let you just pick it up?

Please advise. Your help woud be highly appreciated!

Do not reschedule,its better to show up without the document than rescheduling. They will just issue you a form to hand in the paper later,I have seen similar posts on here which suggests to show up to interview no matter. I would reconfirm with other members on here.
