Hey VJers,

This is just to let you know our I-130 petition was approved today. We filed 31st December 2012 and got NOA2 today 2nd March so 61 days (a whole month earlier than what my timeline said, too!).

Our local field office was Louisville, Kentucky. I guess USCIS really are doing the weekend work! All ya'll December filers, keep your chins up. Your time is coming.

yeah, i was just hoping and hoping... each day i checked the website and hoped some more.

our petition wasn't loaded with a whole lot of evidence... we already had a joint account, we just included proof of that, our marriage certificate, a few pictures, and two or three affidavits from some friends. i think also some pictures of stamps and tickets, but they were just in case.

There was a point when I was checking the site like 20 times a day... Then I decided to give it a rest and I was down to between 3-5 times a day! Now today I have checked it about 10 times just to make sure it still says 'Post Decision Activity' :lol:

We didn't send a load of evidence either. Our marriage certificate, some photos, joint bank acct info, and our house deed stating that we own it together.

I just can't wait to move to Kentucky. I absolutely love it there :)

KY is beautiful. My favorite place is Woodford County. I went to the distillery and I was so impressed...

Haha yeah I was the same as well. I downloaded an app for my phone that let me check the status.

Your application sounds pretty similar to ours!
