Mailed I-129F - When Will They Receive It?

I mailed off my I-129F Original Submission on Monday, Novemeber 6, 2006. I sent it through USPS Priority mail with delivery confirmation.

As of today I have not received any delivery confirmation and the check has not been deposited yet.

I mailed off my package to the Nebraska Service Center.

It's been a week so far and I'm worried because when I check the delivery confirmation online at the USPS website all that shows is that I mailed it off.

Has anyone had an experience like this? Should I be worried?

Thanks in advanced for your insights.

I sent mine on November 4th, this is the online information I have when I submit my tracking information:

Label/Receipt Number: EBXX XXXX XXXX X

Detailed Results:

Arrival at Pick-Up-Point, November 05, 2006, 11:50 pm, LINCOLN, NE 68501

Arrival at Unit, November 05, 2006, 11:46 pm, LINCOLN, NE 68501

Enroute, November 05, 2006, 2:43 pm, OMAHA, NE 68119

Enroute, November 04, 2006, 8:12 pm, INDIANAPOLIS, IN 46251

Acceptance, November 04, 2006, 9:32 am, INDIANAPOLIS, IN 46226

Since it goes to a P.O. Box they technically don't "sign" for it. If I am wrong please correct me.

They CAN sign for it. I was told by USPS that they get a notice in their mail box that says they have to come to a special window to sign for document. So you will receive your notice that it was delivered & signed.

I sent mine on November 8, and the USPS tracking says:

"We attempted to deliver your item at 11:50 AM on November 10, 2006 in MESQUITE, TX 75185 and a notice was left. It can be redelivered or picked up at the Post Office. If the item is unclaimed, it will be returned to the sender. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Please check again later."

Which leaves me slightly worried because my impression is that it didn't get delivered or picked up by USCIS.

Why is it so? If it is a PO box the post office should just be able to drop it in the box, why the re-delivery or pick-up?

They can sign for it, for mine on USPS it actually told me the name of the person who signed for it. For those of you who haven't gotten it delivered yet, i wouldn't worry it was just a holiday they are probably a little backed up at the post office. The check most likely won't be cashed until after you recieve your NOA1.

As far as them saying they attempted to deliver, that happens all the time? I have seen a lot of people say they got that message! They'll probably accept and sign for it in the next day or two.

They'll receive it - don't worry.

That "attempted to deliver" message is normal too. I received that because my package was delivered on a Saturday and there was no one there to sign for/receive it.

I received an email that next Monday stating that my application was received at 5 a.m.!!! Go figure...that's early.

I was worried too because I had written down the wrong PO Box number (which didn't exist anymore) but I had everything else right - so it got there.

You can look at my timeline here below...but it took about a week from when it was received in Texas until I got my NOA1 (and check cashed) in California.

Congratulations on sending it out - that is the first step.

If they tried to deliver on November 10 the USCIS was closed for Veterans Day. Probably delivered today. :D

Same thing happened to me, I sent off my package on November 8, and I checked the delivery status and to my surprise I too recieved an attempted delivery with a notice left by the USPS . I was going paranoid and I had just started my visa journey! But it was delivered the next day. So don't worry it will get delivered. Good luck!

As of today, the USPS track and confirm website still says the same thing. I didn't send it via Express Mail or Certified Mail, just plain old Priority Mail with delivery confirmation, hence no need for a signature, why could they not deliver the package?

I know the post office may be slow with updating the tracking, but it has been a week... Waiting is difficult... :(

OK ... I called USPS. They said when I ship something with delivery confirmation it does not include delivery tracking. Thus, they don't have to update it until it's delivered.

But check this email I received today.

Shipment Activity Location Date & Time

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Delivered LINCOLN NE 68501 11/08/06 5:01am

Acceptance KANSAS CITY MO 64116 11/06/06 10:16am

They delievered it on 11/08 and they finally updated the website on 11/16!

Anyway, I'm just glad to know it got there. I don't want any unnessary bumps in the process, especially since I just stated it.

Cheers everyone!
