Alient Registration Number Madness

Massive confusion over what should in theory be a very simple topic. Hope some experienced VisaJourniers can shed light!

Wife entered on K1 visa and we married within 90 days. She has a 9-digit Alien Registration Number associated with her entry on the K1 visa. Now she is applying for adjustment of status.

QUESTIONS:

1. wHEN completing the G-325a form, do we enter her Alien Regstration Number (at the top of form) where it asks for "File Number" ?

2. wHEN completing the G-325a form, do we enter her Alien Regstration Number where it asks for "Alien Registration Number" (at the bottom of form)?

I have seen so many conflicting answers to this question. Some say we should put "None" in both locations. Others say we should put the A-number only at the bottom and not the top. ANd then still others say put the A-number in both places.

even on the vj sample forms shows both numbers used the same and to fill both
