There's a pool of Romanian Thugs that have snuck in the horsemeat (and got paid for it as beef) across Europe and parts of the UK. I know this, cause I watch it on that John Stewart Show

The "whole horse meat in the food supply" has been big news over here for about a month now. They've found it in several processed foods. They've been served in schools, hospitals, to the military. Horse is quite common in parts of Europe and supposedly quite tasty and lean. The problem is...its not labeled as horse meat. AND, the horse that is legally sold as food is raised differently and inspected....we have no real idea where this horse came from. There is also a drug given to some horses that can be dangerous to humans in the food supply. Its been quite a pain for the supermarkets here....but good news for the local butchers and farms that sell their own meat.
