I think I know what you are talking about, it is a process called DCF (direct consular filing) - when both live overseas and get married there too.

And as for the same direct consular filing for k-1 visa, there is no such option - everyone has to file their petition to Dallas lockbox and wait...

But unfortunately DCF is not an option for us - my fiance doesn't want to get married here, in Russia :(

I tried to persuade him that DCF would be much faster and easier process, but ..... :bonk:

So now we are waiting for the k-1 visa))

Moreover, he has to go back to US in a couple of months, and it really upsets me..:(

I wish this visa process wouldn't be so long...

I just received the email that an RFE was sent out to me today by CSC (March 8 NOA1). This was expected, so hopefully it will be a quick turnaround from this point. Getting excited!

My fiance talked to uscis about ways to fasten the process, but the only option they have for k-1 applicants , even if they live overseas - is the so called expedition ...

But we don't meet any of the criteria(

For Proof we have 3 trips worth of Boarding passes and itineraries, 11 pictures with names dates and location of us together as well as my Fiance with my kids. We have receipts from things we bought while visiting each other. We also included Passport stamps from each trip. We left out the skype and all that as they are only asking for proof you have met in the last 2 years. they rest is what they need for the interview, proof of ongoing relationship. We are hoping for atleast one more trip between filing and visa.

Hopefully mailing in the package this week. I just have to talk to my fiance who hasn't been online due to a tummy bug. :blink:

Ok just about one month down !!! Hoping and praying that Vermont service center keeps up the fast pace especially since they do not have a lot of Dec Filers on here would lead me to believe there over all number of applicants and general are lower. I'm thinking August if all goes well !!!!

Only a week ago my estimated dates of getting NOA2 were something like "September 4 - September 11", but now they have moved towards the end of September again...(

I hope Vermont doesn't slow :bonk:

It seems that Vermont Service Center is becoming slower in processing petitions... :unsure:

I hope Vermont doesn't slow :bonk:

Mine did the same thing but I was told by a friend that it hits lulls like that sometimes during a busy period like processing september/october petitions and then it speeds back up when they hit november/december petitions because there is less of them.
