I know that USCIS runs based on fees received by applicants but is SEQUESTER could effect the processing time for all cases? It seems like both CSC and VSC has been slowing down but could it get worse?

There's a thread discussing the sequester here down in the General Immigration Discussion (can't post a link yet, sorry!)

But from what I've read of it, despite USCIS being ran on the fees taken, their budget is still set at a Department or Federal level. Time will tell if that means things slow down - so don't panic just yet.

Uscis is self funded but all of their workers are federal employees who are due to be furloughed starting in april. This means every federal employee will be off one day a week for 22 weeks.
