You don't have to send pictures but they sure do look good as evidence. Majority of people send the pictures to create a visual of the relationship since most married couples have pictures of thier wedding and family time together. Good luck.

You totally don't need to. We did not include any either. We left the pictures for the actual interview. And funny thing at the interview they asked nothing from us (even though I brought the whole copy of AOS package along) but pictures only. So, we showed the pictures there, and we got approved on the spot. So, in terms of the AOS package, you absolutely don't need to send pictures if you have sufficient amount of evidences....at least, you can show something "new" at the interview. Good luck!
