Wife wants to sell flat in Odessa

My wife wishes to sell her flat in central Odessa.

I would appreciate any leads on buyers/investors etc.

If she has to return to do the paperwork...we want it to [understandably] be a sure thing.

She has no direct family left there to help with this.

We live in the Dallas area.

We just sold a flat in Russia. Got help from her good and trusted friend along with a power of attorney. Didn't have to make the trip over.

I started out with nothing, and I still have most of it.

I lived in Odessa and my landlord (from Australia) was an investor who purchased flats, decorated them and rented them. He also handled the rental of property owned by others as a management service. I have searched around and I cannot find his contact info, I forget his name and cannot find it anywhere. They rented both short term and long term. but he was available through "Odessarents". You can google odessarents.com and contact them to see if they would be interested.

As for us, we kept the place in Donetsk as it is paid for and the annual expense to keep it is so low it is far cheaper than hotel rooms and we still go there 2 times per year and now the boys travel there themselves and use it. Just a suggestion. You could use a rental service and still use the place yourself when you visit.

If that real estate guy's name shows up please forward.

In the meantime I'll try that odessarents site.

I didn't see that one show up before.

Give us a heads up when you prepare to return to Ukraine [if you wish]

Thanks again

Just saying it can be done without making a trip. Not always easy, but it can be done with a little help.

This is correct in Ukraine also. A close friend of ours in Donetsk is a Real Estate Agent and we have discussed the possibility with her. It IS possible to sell the property and transfer the funds without going there.

Thanks again for your replies.

'With a little help from who' is what I need to know to make it a sure thing... and we don't get rooked.

Is there some way we could contact this real estate office?
