NVC Says Just received case... Do I?

The NVC officer told me my case was received February 25th, but to call back in 3 to 4 weeks.

Is she saying 3-4 weeks before they will have an NVC #?

Could I update the email address contacts now in their computer system?

After they give me the NVC # I can go pay the AOS fee on the Department of State website correct?

Excited about the progress I am having on my case, but the NVC officer was not going to tell me much and seemed distracted.

I would also recommend calling...but only once a week. I think the people who say call everyday have too much free time, and found it harder to call each time. It's like a good 20-30 mins wait on hold, then to hear the same line again can get discouraging...at least for me.

Anyway, my NOA2 official date was 2/3/13. NVC finally generated my case# AND my IIN# today, in two separate emails. So yea, 3-4 weeks sounds about right.
