Travel in summer

Hello.

I am a LPR and will be visiting Jamaica in the summer. My mom has a visitor visa and will be spending the summer here in the U.S. We will be travelling back together as its her first time here. Is it possible for us to use the same immigration line when coming back? I know theres a line for visitors and one for LPRs and USC. Im just curious.

I would go into the appropriate lines. I'm under the impression that the visitor lines take longer because there's a lot more verification and documentation required, and those stations "specialize" in that (it's not that they can't process LPR/USC, it's just not their designation). The LPR and USC stations expect quick turnover, so a visitor showing up in the LPR USC line is going to throw everything off.

That's just my opinion though. I've had to go through the visitor line as F-1 while my now husband went through USC . I personally wouldn't try going in the LPR/USC line if I wasn't LPR or USC.
