Hi, I am preparing the documents now for greencard based on my husband's citizenship. But he recently has an opportunity for switching jobs to another city. If he goes I would stay until I find a job in the other city (I am working under my h1b now).

My question is if he moves after I submit the forms, do I need to file something to change his address and employer? Will that delay the greencard process? Is it better for me to submit with new info after he moves?

Thank you!

You will need to file an AR11 (change of address) only if you move.

Also a heads up, make sure both your names are on any lease, utility bills at the new address. There was a case recently where the husband and wife lived in different towns as one of them was on H1B and they had issues during their interview for GC.

So only he need to file AR11 and I do not need to do anything more? Cuz i am not moving.

And will this delay the process?

We just got married 2 weeks ago and now he is moving to another city. And will we get questioned or delayed because of this? Be apart right after getting married?

Thanks!

He is an USC, so he can move any where he wants without having to file anything. Only if you move then you will file an AR11.

If you have an interview you get questioned about that. Search through the forums there was a case exactly like yours a few weeks ago.
