hi everybdy........

yesterday my wife got to USA,,,we got married here on 9th of january..so she had some kind of color( mehndi) on hands and wore wedding rings...so immigration officers asked about there colors on hand and she told that i got married in pakistan....so they asked about my detail..like my name etc and my profession....

so why they asked about me..........plzz she hasn't file the petition yet......

Because they can.

They can ask whatever they want to inquire about the person crossing in.

She has to prove every time that she has no intention of staying in the US illegally.

Unfortunately, it's a process you just have to get used to.

Your wife was allowed in, so I'd say that was a successful cross and you should stop worrying.

they can ask what they want. You are lucky your wife was allowed to enter at all considering the fact that you were just married and she does not yet have an immigrant visa.

I think the OP is the foreign beneficiary - or he will be when the petition is filed. His wife is either the USC or the LPR in the US.

USCs or LPRs get quizzed at POE all the time. The only time in my life have I ever been interrogated more than in the US was once going into Canada as a single parent.

They ask you lots of questions just trying to see your reaction. I don't think it is a big deal.
