hi everybdy........

yesterday my wife got to USA,,,we got married here on 9th of january..so she had some kind of color( mehndi) on hands and wore wedding rings...so immigration officers asked about there colors on hand and she told that i got married in pakistan....so they asked about my detail..like my name etc and my profession....

so why they asked about me..........plzz she hasn't file the petition yet......

Because they can.

They can ask whatever they want to inquire about the person crossing in.

She has to prove every time that she has no intention of staying in the US illegally.

Unfortunately, it's a process you just have to get used to.

Your wife was allowed in, so I'd say that was a successful cross and you should stop worrying.

USCs or LPRs get quizzed at POE all the time. The only time in my life have I ever been interrogated more than in the US was once going into Canada as a single parent.

They ask you lots of questions just trying to see your reaction. I don't think it is a big deal.
