Hello All -

Hubby was given a last minute appointment this upcoming Tuesday at the Embassy. It was assigned this past Tuesday. Letter was allegedly sent 26 Feb, but we've not received it yet. What happens if we do not receive the letter by today or tomorrow? We are in Scotland and plan to leave here for the interview on Monday. Help!

His name will be on the appointment list at the head of the outside line (before getting sent into the security door). I thought I read you emailed to re-schedule.

Thanks!! I did email to reschedule, but got an email back stating that they would reply within 3-4 days, possibly even 7-10. I emailed 2 days ago, and could potentially hear from them Monday/ Tuesday, and the interview is 10am Tuesday. I figure it's best to plan that I may not hear back in time, as to be in London for a 10am appt, I'll need to travel down Monday night. Not ideal! I should've just never emailed in the first place- I know! Now I have to worry about them cancelling when I'm on my way to London. Oh well, nothing to do now. Just need to go with it & hope I don't hear from them by Tuesday.

Have you thought of contacting them again confirming that you will attend on Tuesday as originally scheduled? If they get your email and cancel Tuesday, then your name won't be on the list. Will you be allowed in with no appointment letter and no name on the list? Good luck! Hope it works out.

Yes, I did think of that. I called the extortion line this morning hoping they could help, but they were unable to do anything. They also said it was pointless to email, as they'll likely get to my first email before they read my second. I highly doubt I'd be allowed in with no letter & my name marked off the list, so here's to hoping that 1) I arrive home to a letter today and/or 2) they don't cancel me on Monday. Only 25 minutes left in the working day here in the UK and no email. It's gonna all come down to Monday. Any other tricks in the bag you can think of? Otherwise, here's to hoping for the best!

I received no notification of my interview, I only found out by calling DOS who confirmed an interview was scheduled.

Good job I did too, my interview letter was on the doormat when I got home from the Embassy. I did actually lol when I saw it

I had no problems getting in without the letter, I was on the interview list outside security.

Good luck

The same thing happened to me, I called on Feb 18th and asked if there was any progress as things were dragging on a bit, I was told that two days before they had posted an interview appointment letter out for March 5th. Two weeks later, still no letter. I called a few days ago and was told that they weren't able to send another one out but couldn't tell me why and it wouldn't be necessary to present it on the day anyway.
