Status remains Ready but got visa

Hi,

Anybody has this sort of case where Status remains Ready and so as status date remains same but visa issued and got a letter from the consulate as well to submit passport for visa stamping.

Anybody falls under this kind of cases?

Anyone under this category please post their experiences...

Payal, This is a good news for u....they r now ready to issue u a visa. And regarding ur question regarding case status update, how can it be showing Issued when they haven't issued u the visa yet....thats why the status is showing Ready...

When they will receive ur passport, they will issue visa and then on that date ur status will show Issued....

But, first, submit ur passport immediately...Good Luck

Thank you krishh for your valuable answer but its showing Ready since after my interview i.e. November 26, 2012 and only status date updated on Jan 25, 2013. I think Ready means Pr-interview status. And as far as passport submission is concerned, I am waiting for the consulate's letter, and as soon I will get the letter, I will submit the passport..

Well...Its fine ....whenever the last updated date changes, they certainly do sumthg to cases i.e. place the docs u submitted at OFC, review ur file....etc....Regarding ur question on "Ready" status...i have also seen lot of cases where they just show Ready after Interview but cant find what exactly it means...May be the file must be pending on Officer's desk for final action...but i am not sure abt this. If u check the case nos. of Interviews in March as of today,,,....there r a lot of cases where still u will see Ready after their Interview...some r issued, most r in AP....But, if u r waiting for consulate's letter, wait until u get it and then submit ur passport. ...Hope for the Best...Good Luck again...
