BIRTH CERTIFICATE

Hello VJ family please is it wise to send my original birth certificate and age attestation from national population commission to NVC. I want to include my age attestation from national population commission because my BIRTH CERT only has my fathers name on it but the attestation has both my mother and father's name on it...should i send the two originals or just one.

I woul send certified copies and take the originals to the interview if they want to see them.

You have to send either the original or certified copy of the long form Birth Certificate to NVC

I would suggest you send the document from national population commission(NPC)since it has all the BOTH parent. Unless you are petitioning a parent, NVC does not reallly bother about the parents name yet (as long as the document came from the govt agency responsible for issuing it). Then again you always want to issue documents that will also serve you in future( i dont know if you have and plan to bring any parent in future). if not then either one should be fine. Why would they not write your mother's name though( I could understand father's name being omitted sometimes)? Mine ( not from NPC) has both parents on it.

Was wondering this myself. He has a declaration of age and a attestation of birth. should I send both? for the cr1 application?
