Hi Charlotte,

As a beneficiary, the packet 3 which is the checklist of your required documents for the interview and the packet 4 which is your medical instructions and interview date will be mailed to you. I think it is important that you change your address to where you live now. But first call NVC. Good luck.

HI, Thanks for the reply.

I really don't want to cause any unnecessary delays by changing it. I would rather wait until packet three arrives. Since my mother will be able to scan and email be anything that arrives in the UK....is the contents of packet three just instructions and forms or are they special original copies?

Thanks,

Charlotte

You need some original copies from packet 3 to send back to the local consulate. Plus there will be instruction there to apply an online Ds-160.. You need to print the confirmation page of online DS-160 application and send it to the local consulate together with the other forms. Yes, originals needed.

OK thanks! Decision made then! :-)

May I please clarify currently presented information because I am new?

I am the petitioner for wife benificiary. My case was received at NVC but no MNL case number assigned yet.

I need to change beneficiary physical address. My U.S. address is not an issue.

Once it becomes available changing physical address on the DS-260 will do the trick, based on where I am at in the process?

I can't imagine they don't know the 3rd world nature of the Philippines mail system. I guess if they don't make documents available online they will use a private courier.

In any case, thanks for clarification on when and how to change her address in my situation.

Hi all,

Tricky situation here,

Me (the US citizen) and my partner (originally from England) are currently living in New Zealand on a temporary work visa-- we were planning on leaving NZ before Christmas, as we filed our K-1 back in July and assumed it would be ready by then.

We've just received and RFE so it looks like the chances of approval before Christmas is unlikely... so we've decided to go travelling for the next couple of months, instead of waiting around New Zealand, and rather have his interview in the UK.

So we would like to request of USCIS to change our address to the UK from this point.

My question is-- how much will this delay things? Is this even possible to do at this stage? Will they give us trouble for this?

Any advice appreciated!

Thanks,

Layla

Hello, this is an old thread, is the way to change the beneficiary address the same now as above? We are also at the NVC stage and my wife will be moving from Russia to The Philippines. Does she have to wait until she is physically in the Philippines or can she do it now? She will be moving in early December of 2016.
