One day at a time ...

We Skype, text, and email each other everyday. We involve ourselves in stuff that are productive. We seek the counsel of a few who could mentor us to better prepare us for marriage. We take care of stuff that needs to be taken cared of before we get married (like pay debts). We try to learn how to resolve conflicts -- fight to resolve, and not to win a conflict. Most of all, we pray for each other and we pray about our situation. We both believe that prayers are essential to our relationship. Prayers also keep us sane while we are waiting.

I also watched /got caught up on all the shows I missed out on while in college.

I got a guitar and a flute and began learning to play. (Skills that you can master while waiting that can come in very handy later are smart.)

We worked on making sure that we had tangible evidence for the interview--letters, postcards, real cards. (This WAS looked at in the interview.)

I embroidered little sweet-things on some handkerchiefs for him (and his family).

I should have gotten a job. Husbands are expensive!

When my husband left I feel so alone.. even tho my baby is with me.. I cried for a week and then months past I realized that I need to be somewhat independent and do what is supposed to do while waiting.. I was far away from my hubby for almost 6 mos.. But we are waiting for our approval more than a year now... He cannot be with me cus his kids are too young( 1st marriage kids) and studying in the states.. So what we did, he planned a vacation here to see me and my baby.. But I tell you he spent 2 weeks here, we had a great time .. But man! when he left for the 2nd time , it was harder for me to let go of him, and it hurts me the second time so much.. and I was thinking, when will the USCIS will approve my papers.. I thought of spending another Christmas here without my hubby.. If we are only rich then I will tell my hubby to come evry other week to spend his time here......... But yes, I will try to keep myself busy.. my baby needs me and I need to keep myself sane in this entire process.
