Hi. I've been trying to contact a real human being at the USCIS, but am not having any luck. Does anyone have any magic keys to unlocking this mystery. I'm trying to contact them from England and would like to avoid being put in the perpetual hold pattern as it's getting a bit costly.

I always had luck asking the live person to speak to an immigrations officer. That person would always give me more info regarding our case. The immigrations office can directly access your file in the computers and give you a bit more info than the initial voice that answers but you may need to be creative in your request to speak to an officer or you will get one of the many canned responses.

You could always call India direct :P j/k

Are you the USC? Because if not you will be hard pressed getting them to tell you anything as they will generally only talk to the petitioner at the service center stage. faal4anisa is correct in that the majority of times they will only be able to tell you what you can already see on your online status.

You can find me on FBI

I would say u would be very lucky if u find someone live otherwise u listen 99% an automated message that read the same message as shown on online status

Been on the phone for +46 minutes, spoke to a "customer service" person who said she needed to elevate my case to a manager That was about 25 minutes ago---I'm trying to track down a NOA for an I-129F submitted about 6 weeks ago. Cheque has been cashed but the EAC number is illegible on the back of the cancelled cheque. Totally stumped her.

I'm not sure what USC means, but I have applied for a visa for my husband (U.K. resident). I am currently residing in England as well. But, I am homesick...
