If I may ask what was the reason for denial? I will be at the same embassy and this worries me. From what I hear there is much fraud in the Dominican Republic. For this they are very cautious when issuing visas. Sorry for your long wait.

Denied during our interview in the Dominican Republic

Married 6/18/2010

I was given I yellow paper and told we were denied for fraudulent marriage and our case would be sent back to USA for review on 6/27/2011.

Case was revived in USA 3/8/2013 all I’ve been told since is the case is being reviewed nothing else. It will be a year in a few days and they still can give me any information on what to do.

I’ve caller lawyers and all of them say something different

I was told at the embassy that the answer to the questions we were asked didn’t match one another’s. USCIA still hasn’t told me are sent a letter telling me why we were denied.

1. Can I ask what have you done so far since denial?

I have called USCIS almost every day trying to get information, sent letters to the California service center, written the white house for help, and visited my local USCIS office 5 times with no luck.

2. Have you contacted your senators or congresspersons office?

I have contacted my congressmen’s office and there looking into it but can’t promises any thins

3. Do you know where your case is? NVC, USCIS?

My case was returned to USCIS California office

4. What was the reason given for denial?

I was told at the embassy that the answer to the questions we were asked didn’t match one another’s.

5. What questions were asked at interview?

During the window interview I was asked

How did I meet my husband?

When did we meet?

When were we married?

Does he have kids?

Than in the privet room there were so many I don’t remember them, but some were personal of our sex life that made me uncomfortable.

6. What did they focus on?

not really shore

7. Do you have any red flags to address.

not really shore

A year and a half is a long time without any word. Sorry. Now help us help you.

I’m just really frustrated because they’ve had his paper work back going on a year and I still don’t know if I can file an appeal or if I should close the case and start all over again.

You're waiting since 2011?? I'm not sure why you haven't just tried to file again unless that's out of the question?

Maybe someone can enlighten me?

First off, edit out your personal email address and case receipt #. That's sensitive info and visajourney is a completely public forum, so be careful! Now, explain what happened with your denial. You applied for a CR1 visa a year after you were married in the DR? Your husband got denied after the interview? What questions did they ask him? What kind of proof did you include in your paperwork? Have you been contacted about your petition in any way after the interview until now?

file what again, her petition is still approved, it's the visa that was denied. She will need to contact USCIs about her petition, she should have received a NOID, or a NOIR.
