CASE COMPLETE! :dance::dance::dance:

Just a quick update on the checklist we received for insufficient income.

We sent an email, following the advice received here, explaining that we did include assets and requesting another review of the evidence we included.

So now, it's up to the officer at the interview to take the final decision.

Interview is scheduled for April 3rd and I already took the appointment for the medical exam.

Excited!!!

great news!! Congrats!!

It may have something to do with the email we sent after the checklist. I imagine a supervisor reviewed the AOS, saw the assets and completed the case.

I'm half happy and half nervous because until the interview is completed, I don't know if they'll be OK with the amount of assets we have. Fingers crossed!

Hey everyone - been reading forum for a while but only now posting. Got my NOA2 on Feb. 11. NVC still has not received my case. I called USCIS and spoke to a Tier2 rep, and they told me they didn't know if it was mailed or not. They would have to put in a request to the NBC (where my case was processed) which will take another 2 weeks.

Anything else I can do at this point or do I just need to wait it out?

They won't throw them in the "return to sender bin", lol! A lot of people, even some in the states, do this to save time.

Wait a second, why all the dire warnings not to send in your packet until the Fee Bill is shown as PAID if there are no negative consequences? I just assumed the worst. Assumed they would handle it like they handle the DS-3032 email and reject it. Might be good to clarify this for the rest of the VJers on the Fly Through NVC wiki.huh.gif I just lost two days on my AOS, and four on my IV packet…headbonk.gif

It's been more than a month! That's unacceptable, you need to call NVC and have them request the file from USCIS, if they refuse to do anything, contact your congressperson; that's worked for a lot of people.

And the tier 2 rep is lying they can see when and where the case has been mailed.

Um, I didn't see any dire warnings, just advice. There was another member on her two weeks ago, I think aprice, who sent in their IV packet before the fee showed up as paid and unfortunately the fee didn't show as paid for another 8 days so the package got to NVC before the fee showed as paid. They now have a case complete. So it is possible to do, just not recommended and it's probably not recommended b/c the practice hasn't been tested enough in order to be able to say "yes, do this, you'll absolutely 100% be fine".

I would just wait. I had the same problem... actually a few of us have had this problem. My NOA2 was 2/07 and my file was just received Monday 3/11 at the NVC. I had a service request open at the USCIS also but my case was at the NVC before I heard back. I believe they are shipping in batches from the NBC to the NVC. They say they have 30 days to ship it.

USCIS - 66 days ROC - 139 days from sent to approved
12/3/2012 - I-130 delivered to Chicago 5/20/15: mailed I-751 package to California office

12/20/2012 - Case number showed up on USCIS website
1/29/2013 - Called USCIS and case is still at NBC
2/8/2013 - Received an Email that we were approved on 2/7/13
3/5/2013 - Told file may have been "misplaced" to email NOA2 to NCVresearch
3/7/2013 - ISO at the USCIS opened a service request to try to track down
if and when the file was shipped. Should hear something before 3/26 ( so she said)

NVC - 119 days NVC to Visa in hand
03/11/2013: NVC received (31 days from NOA2 at USCIS till received at NVC )

04/01/2013: AOS Sent

I wonder when I should start calling NVC to see if they've accepted the AOS checklist packet (they received it last week). That's really all that's holding our case from a case complete. Do they normally send out an email like they did when they worked on the IV packet and it was accepted, will they send one if the AOS checklist packet is accepted? I'm guessing that's most likely a no, but no harm in asking.

Not buying it. rolleyes.gif

The wiki needs to be amended. The impression given is that NVC is very strict - follow the rules.

As it appears now it's cut and dry - wait until the portal shows paid before sending your packets. If there is no consequence then why wait. And why "unfortunate" that their packet got there before it showed paid if there was a positive result.
