I'm sure it's fine for the tax transcripts as they get those all the time like that. It's just not recommended to print the forms out on both sides.

To me, it sounds like a false checklist with them reviewing and accepting your AOS package. To me, it sounds like your case may be complete ;) You got 20 minutes, call back and ask if your case is completed!

Was too afraid to call back, wait on hold, just to get the same confusing woman. Maybe Ill be lucky with an early morning operator.

I wondered if anyone had weighed the risk to benefits of sending their AOS and IV packets after they've paid the bills but before the check has cleared? I was so tempted to do that since we live on the opposite side of the Earth relative to New Hampshire. My reasoning was that by the time it gets there, and by the time it makes it out of the Common Mail Room onto an agents desk, the check will have cleared, and we'll have saved time. Then I got to thinking about the worst case scenario which was, it was opened too soon and tossed in the "return to sender bin". Then added to the saddle bags at Pony Express. Then all of our Original Documents got lost. Just the thought of having to go to every Ministry in Nepal for new originals turned me into an ultra-conservative. Think I'll wait.

It was SO frustrating! I'm praying that when I request an earlier interview date I won't get this attitude b/c I seriously might flip.

I have been practicing getting angry now so that I am too worn out to get angry once I am at the interview with my wife.

Hi all ,

If we submit the Aos and Iv package this week , is that possible that we can have interview at early may ? We really want to reunite by the end of may ..

Hi. Take a look at the time it's taken other's in Hong Kong to get an Interview after their case was sent from the NVC. That will give you an idea. End of May doesn't sound unreasonable though.

Good luck on your call this morning :)

And it's still possible to get an April interview, all depending on the workload at your embassy. And remember, interviews aren't just scheduled during the second week. Refer to the FAQ, there's something about this near the end ;)

NVC wouldn't return the documents to you if they're processed before the fee clears. It would just be delayed a bit at NVC. I have NEVER seen them mail back the packages. Never. They'll simply hold on to them.

But yes, I usually suggest to wait until the payment fully clears on the payment portal before sending, even if it looks like it cleared the bank. Something can still go wrong with the payment, as I've seen throughout these threads every now and then.

Anything is possible! You'll need to figure out what the average time frame is for those going through Hong Kong. From there, you can get an estimate of when your interview will be. They won't throw them in the "return to sender bin", lol! A lot of people, even some in the states, do this to save time. I would have sent my AOS the day the fee was paid but it wasn't ready yet. Your papers won't get lost b/c your check hasn't cleared yet, don't worry about it. How long does it take for papers to get from Nepal to NVC? For us it only takes two days using fedex, so if it's something similar for you I'd wait. But if it takes something like a week then I'd go ahead and send once the fee has been paid. A week is enough time for the fee to show up as paid.
