ok today got NVCResearch respond about our case.

Dear Sir/Madam:

Please be advised that the National Visa Center (NVC) contacted U.S.

Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) in regards to your approved

petition. USCIS has informed us that your petition will be retained at

the (DALLAS FIELD OFFICE - DAL). Please contact USCIS .....

i don't really know why our petition is retained there and when it will be in NVC.... i'm confused!

Husband called USCIS and they are like usually didn't really answer the question

Can your husband make an info pass appt at the field office and inquire directly when his petition will be sent?

Yesterday I called NVC asking for my Case Number. The girl told me I will hear something in about 10-20 days. Today I received the e-mail with all the information!!!!!! I am so happy right now!!!!!!

But you knew you were their?!? I have been told by 3 people at the NVC I was most likely MISPLACED. If I knew I was there and just waiting a number that would be fine. The problem is no one knows where our file it.

Exactly! that is the sad part! I will be okay if I know if it's at NVC! I could wait for the numbers, at least I know it's sitting in that building! :blink:

It was my first! But last week, I also sent in my scanned NOA2 to their email, don't know if that had anything to do with it. I also called USCIS and they told me my case was shipped on 02/28.

I see! I sent the scanned NOA2 on 03/05, and on 03/06 the status online said it was chipped on 03/06. I hope they get it this week :unsure: I hope you get your numbers fast!! :thumbs:

Go to that link https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard/CaseStatus.do and enter your receipt number. It should give you information about your case.

we got our NOA2 ON Jan 22 and NVC still don't have our case

Yeah it didn't say it was shipped for me for like a month after NOA2. Then on 03/06, the status changed to this:

"On March 6, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly."

It took them almost a month to update the status from approved to actually "sent" ...

:( I didn't even know that it should change, and when I saw that it changed a couple of days ago, I was kinda mad! So I feel what you are going through :( I hope this ends soon :(

yeah that's depressing... today NVCresearch sent respond that after they contact uscis they figure out that our petition is in dallas and we have no idea why it is there!

i hope we all will pass that soon.

i wish you good luck and hope nvc will have ur case this week :)

Is it suppose to tell when they shipped to NVC? My case was last updated Feb 4 and says the following.

"On February 1, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."
