Ughhhhh, I spent $50 and if they do get rejected I'm going to be pissedddddd off...I called the place and they told me to bring them back in and they will re-take them

Oh, you went to a professional place? Once I found out about this place: http://www.epassportphoto.com/ after submitting the I-130 petition, I took all my own photos for everything else and didn't pay one penny. My photos were approved at NVC, the medical, and the interview.

Oh, oops maybe I should have posted a question about passport photos sooner, I've paid more than $100 for passport photos since the start of this process. Well, I can't return them now, I can only take them in to have them re-taken, I will show my ears this time for sure lol.

Yeah, I paid $30 for two initial passport photos which I used for the I-130 petition. Then I found the above link somewhere in these forums between submitting the I-130 petition and getting to the NVC stage. So, I took my own photos the rest of the process. Probably saved me about $100 in photos.

Are they going to re-take them for free? I hope so. And yes, make sure your ears are showing! Tuck that hair behind ;)

Yes, I called them and was told to bring them back in tomorrow and they will re-take them, I asked her specifically whether or not my ears have to show?! and she said, NOPE!! so it's partly her fault! lol

You sure did save a good $100, I had to take photos for the I-130 and I-129F which cost me $30 each time and $50 this time :bonk:

Glad they'll re-take them for you!

Amazing how it costs so much for just a couple of photos -_-

Just to make sure, you're getting them 2" x 2", right?

Ahh, think we are going to be waiting on UK police certificates for our IV package. Though I feel kind if lucky/guilty since now we don't really need to rush as much.

When the NVC sends our stuff to the embassy, do they (in theory) send all the evidence in our I-130 petition too?

I know, I'm glad they're going to otherwise I would have been really mad considering how much I've spent so far. Yes 2" x 2", I kept on telling them that lol

Once you have your case number and IIN, you can log onto the payment portal to see when bills have been invoiced. When they appear, you can pay them right away. Since you have a lawyer, both bills will be invoiced at the same time, so both should be available a few days after your case number is assigned.

Hmm, I tried looking at the photograph requirements and couldn't find anything about ears needing to be shown, so you should be okay. If you want, you can re-do them and print them out again, with your ears showing this time. But, I think you should be fine.

thank you. my husband just received the printed NOA2.. telling that they already send the case to nvc... hoping we'll get that invoice asap

Tell me about it. Passport Canada initially rejected my passport photos because there was some flash on my forehead and a little, itty bit of my eye wasn't visible (due to my glasses) headbonk.gifheadbonk.gifheadbonk.gif Thankfully, I managed to get a refund. Second time, I went with another place (and took my glasses off) and my application was accepted once I sent it in.

You first need a case number. Focus on that first. Actually, you should probably focus on NVC actually receiving the case since there seems to have been some issues lately of cases being sent out.

I went to AMA the other day to get DD & my photos done.

The guy there said I was the first person ever to bring in the printout for him to make sure he did all the sizing correctly.

Have our police checks in hand as well.

Almost ready, just waiting on NVC to okay our OPTIN.

Guys i had a few questions, i hope im posting in the right place. So i what ive done so far is paid the AOS fee online. My next step is sending the ds-3032 by email per (http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Email_DS-3032_form) Once i do that do i still have to fill out the ds-261? they seem to be covering the same thing... and after that i will send an email and opt in for electronic processing per ( http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Electronic_Processing). It does state not to send before getting the ds-3032 email. I got an email with this form barcoded and also an invoice for AOS, so im assuming its ok to send the opt in email without having "severe delay". Am i going the right way? After this once my invoice shows "paid", I will send the AOS packet in? After that the IV package will invoiced and i can pay it?

Heya,

Wahooo that's us officially sent everything off! (Praying we don't get a checklist)

Based on current reviewing times we're hoping both IV and AOS packages will be reviewed by next week. Is it another week or so from the time they finish reviewing packages(all fees are PAID) until the time we get case complete? I.e. Are we looking at roughly another 2 weeks from now until case complete?
