It just means that if you end up corresponding with the consulate and they give you instructions on something, then print it out and bring it with you.

Aaaahhh ok, Well you know how each document has a status in front of it, "Y" stands for "required document has been received" and so that's the status for passport and BC, why wouldn't it say "S" like the other few documents that I've scanned?

Looking at mine, I only had Y next to passport and police certificate. Who knows their reasoning! laughing.gif Just bring everything!!

Question for the IV packet.

Do I have to translate the police certificate? I have it in French + Arabic which are the official languages in Algeria. I am sure the local embassy can read them.

I'd suggest calling up NVC tomorrow and see if your IV package will be forwarded to the embassy (as they contain the original forms and documents). I'm sure that they'll send them along shortly.

There's a question/answer about this on post 2.

If it were me, I'd get it translated to English, if it won't take long (and doesn't cost too much).

Ok, I was just wondering lol. I will take absolutely everything!

Yeah, I was scratching my head at my interview list, but in the end, I stopped worrying about it as I knew I was going to bring EVERYTHING with me anyways! laughing.gif

You might as well wait for 48 hours to send the DS-3032 email. Then send it using "Supervisor Review-your case number-beneficiary's last name, first and initial" in the subject line. Using "Supervisor Review" my email was replied to in 4 hours! But if you email your DS-3032 before they generate/email your AOS Fee Bill they won't accept it, it's just a waste of everyone's time. I tried to send the DS-3032 before I was emailed the AOS Fee Bill and it was ignored/rejected three times.

I wouldn't use "supervisor review" for a first email. It's supposed to be used when the first email isn't accepted within the normal 1 - 2 weeks.

I would personally feel uncomfortable "using" the system like that, especially considering the fact that the normal processing time shouldn't slow you down.

I'm curious how other members feel about that?
