I'd say that's a pretty fair timeframe. I got my NOA2 on Wednesday and NVC had my case by the following Monday. You're right, though, lately there seems to be a lot of problems with cases getting shipped from USCIS to NVC. Maybe this is due to the field offices? My case was processed and approved at CSC. Maybe the main service centers have their business a little more organized than the field offices. Just a theory.

That's a neat observation. Although I don't know if my case was processed at local office or not. I did get NOA2 from Lee's Summit, MO. So I am guessing that's one of the standard process place instead of local office.

Confusing and cryptic response to our emailed DS-3032:

We entered the immigrant visa petition mentioned in your letter into our computer system and assigned a case number. The petitioner, principal applicant, and/or attorney of record will receive instructions regarding further processing of this petition.

The body of my DS-3032 was attached to that reply.

Would have rather read something like, "We can cannot accept your DS-3032 at this time"

Has anyone thought of cataloging these responses and there meanings? Possibly another wiki is in order.

Will call NVC now and see what they have to say, late here.

I hope you are right. I got everything ready to go. And I know once they received it, I then have to wait for the case numbers to be generated. This waiting is torture.

NVC researchs initial response was to wait, file recently approved. Got my congressman involved and heard back within a week. If they lost it, yet another reason for an expedite. I'm frustrated myself and understand what you're going through. Praying they find both of our files.

I called the USCIS back today. A very nice ISO offered to open a service request for me. I didn't even have to ask!! Added my email because she said that way I don't have to wait for a paper response but still it could take till the 22nd to hear anything :bonk: I guess I am going to have to tell my husband what is going on ... He is going to be sooooo depressed :crying:

did you put the questions to the ISO about the physical location of the casefile, or no ?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Got another question...

NVC explained to me that when you send an expedite request, they contact the embassy and ask them if they can expedite and they usually get the answer in about 1-2wks.

My question is : during this time does NVC stop processing your file?

You can continue on with your process while you wait to hear back about the expedite request. So, you can still pay fees and send packages.

I asked and she said that she could not see what happened at the NBC. That she would have to do a service request to get that info. I told her I needed to know it actually left and where it was sent. That I would like any tracking/shipping info they had to prove it was sent and where.

Does USCIS keeps track of how many times you call them? I tried calling them regarding my case and the tier 1 rep didn't want to transfer my call to a tier 2 rep she said they have one other info... uggghhh. I so frustrated with this people. :( I dont know what to do. It's a month today and nothing. I guess I'll contact my congressman. Any other suggestions?? :help:

Go to http://www.house.gov/representatives/find/

and look for your congressman using your zip code.

Then you will get a contact link and usually they have immigration field, tell your story and they will contact you.

Mine is very responsive.

Thank you!
