She REALLY wants my name on it.

Can she do it after she gets here?

I believe the DFA has fast track passport processing but you have to pay extra... She can also change her passport name here, that's what I did when I moved here..(",)

 Oh it's a funny dream. Let's have a good laughter! I like all of us, also experienced all the worries, pressure, painstaking long waiting and finally, one minute ago I called NVC and got the message that my case is COMPLETED! Thank God! This long wearing NVC stage almost pushed me to my limit, since my dad is 74 years old been denied visa 4 times during past 4 years and got desperate. Finally we had to go through immigration, not for long time living here just for visiting us. Now he can come soon! His interview date is Apr 16th. Thank God, He has helped us! :)

We will do that then. Will it affect her VISA?

As long as she has her marriage certificate with her whenever she travel, whatever her name she'll carry will be honored. But I suggest if you use her maiden name when you petitioned her, that will be the same name on her passport...

I never got any information about the AOS package from NVC.

Thanks Saylin! Does the same thing happen for the IV package? (After you pay the IV fee and it's marked as "PAID", does NVC send you IV package by email / postal mail?)

Saylin,

I did send the DS-3032 as an email again with "Supervisor Review" in the subject line. I got the same response as before:

"We are unable to add third party contact information to the case record at this time…"

Two responses in one day, via email. Very fast and efficient. I am thinking we all should let a day or two pass before sending in DS-3032 email using "Supervisor Review". Maybe send it in without "Supervisor Review" in the subject line first as that will put it in the three or four day email queue. Reason being "Supervisor Review" seems to be the only avenue for people who are seriously delayed. Unnecessarily flooding NVC agents we are further delaying others who may have serious issues with lost or very late paperwork, etc.. I just got our case number and I sent in the DS-3032 - I almost felt guilty taking up their time considering the workload they must have. If they can't do anything why encumber them with more work. Still, after hearing two agents tell me to wait 30-45 days for it to come in the mail to our mountain in Nepal - I feel a little less guilty. whistling.gif

I also wanted to try out my Shiny New NVC case number on the DOS website. This is what I found. The AOS was listed under my name as "Not Invoiced" and while there was a spot for the IV info too, my wife's name was not there and neither was there a checkbox or invoice status of any kind - that must happen once/after the DS-3032 is generated. Later in the day I tried to login to the DOS website and I got the infamous "RED BOX". I can only guess our case is being updated and we aren't allowed access during that process.

So, Saylin what do you think? Lessons learned? Don't send an email the same day you get your case number using "Supervisor Review" you will only be rejected and take time away from other cases and that slows us all down. Wait at least a day or until your DOS webpage shows the beneficiary's name under IV? You have far more experience. I defer.

In your first DS-3032 email, did you use the Supervisor Review subject line? Cause if so, that "trick" should only be used if you're sending it for the first time and if it's been a week or more since waiting. If you didn't use the trick in the first email, then wow, they must have gotten to yours really quick. Typically it takes a week or so to get to DS-3032 emails...

You have two options: wait for the initial information package from NVC (contains your case number, NVC information, DS-3032, etc) and then re-send the DS-3032 (either way) or just send another regular email. By the time they get to it (depending how fast they get to it), your case should be ready for document intake.

Gee, it's sure quiet during the day on this forum. Kinda spoooky…

Consider where most of us are here in this thread: the US. most of us were all fast asleep :P

hello. just a question, the documents that are submitted to NVC, are they the same documents that I will take to the embassy for the interview? how many I-864 forms does my husband needs to prepare? and also the tax return transcripts?

There just needs to be one original package, and that's sent to NVC. You then bring a PHOTOCOPY of the entire package to the interview, in case something is needed. This is optional though as NVC will send everything they have to the embassy in time for the interview, so the embassy will have everything you've ever submitted. Despite this, it's still an excellent idea to bring a copy of every package you've ever submitted (I-130, AOS, IV).

oh okay, so this means that what my husband has submitted will not be sent to me... i mean, i will send the same documents with what my husband has submitted but the thing is... some of the documents that i will send are just copies.

i think i understand it now. :bonk:

we hired a lawyer, but i just really want to know the process. my husband always tell me, leave it to our lawyer but i'm not that confident since he is the only one who talks to her. but anyway, still have to wait. i just got approved yesterday. not much excited.LOL :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

If you want to learn more about the NVC process, then you should check out the first 2 posts. They have a plethora of information I put together.

how did you know? is it by calling NVC? or they send you a notification email or mail or whatever?

You don't get any notification when NVC receives your case. You need to call them to find out!

how do I get my husband on the appointment list to come to the interview with me? Do I have to wait until the case has arrived at the embassy or can I call now?

You don't need to do anything. He just needs to show up with you and bring his passport. That easy.

I submitted my married name passport and it still comes up with my maiden name on the payment page and in all the emails? :S

Did you use your maiden or married name on the forms? What did it show on the NOA1 and NOA2?

Hi Saylin and Co'

I have been hanging out in the April Interviews thread where lots of happy people are approaching the finish line...

I have been searching, searching, searching and need some accurate advise, pretty please?

I am the Beneficiary (in Aus with my USC)

* My case has been closed and my interview date has been set at 30th April 2013 (I have sent an email to Sydney embassy requesting early interview)

* We move house on 18th March 2013

Question - After we move house, which of the following bodies must I inform:

Uscis

NVC

US Embassy Sydney

Non of the above

Next Question:

Must I provide our new physical address

OR

May I provide the address of the person who will continue to collect and forward our mail when we leave Aus

I look forward to you reply/ies

many thanks,

Gabby

It's sort of in between none of the above and the embassy. USCIS will be notified later after the package has been sent to them after POE. NVC no longer has your case and could care less where you live. If you can contact the US embassy and tell them you've moved, see if they can update your case. If not, just bring a new I-864 and DS-230 with you to the interview showing the new address of where you're living. Explain to them why you're giving them new forms (you moved). Use the actual physical address of where you are.

P4 received! APRIL 1 interview scheduled!! yay! thanks everyone. it has been a long journey!! :D:)

Yay, congrats! kicking.gif

Yikes are London backlogged? That's a long wait between case complete and interview! I'm hoping that doesn't mean my chances of a May interview are out!! :S

The typical global average is 2 months from case complete date to interview date, so London is right on the ball actually.

Interview date assigned March 5th and NVC(just now) says file already sent out to consulate same day

Woohoo, congrats! And wow, they mailed it out already? Speedy, speedy!

Congrats! My AOS bill is shown as paid, got email for IV invoice but cannot select the IV bill tab in the payment portal. There is no box in front of it to select helpsmilie.gifWhy is that?

I hope you're using IE to sign into the payment portal...

Finally, after 3 long days i've been checking - IV processing fee payment status "PAID"...

Hi Saylin, before anything else I wanna thank you and the rest of the crew ..(",) for your time and support to everybody whose going through this journey.

Anyway my question is that if you have encounter anybody her who go through expedite processing that was forwarded to US Embassy/ General Consulate without finishing the process in NVC? I feel that I got lost now. I try to call the US Embassy - Manila but they don't have so much information about my moms papers. Or maybe I just called too soon...

Yay, grats on the progress!

You'll need to wait for Manila to receive your case from NVC. You can find out when/if they received it by calling DOS. Their number is on the first page. DOS has access to your information at all steps of the way, so they can help you now. Once Manila has received your case, give it one more day, then contact them to see what you need to do.

I had a nightmare last night that NVC sent me an email revoking our case complete and asking for our dog's dental records. blink.gif I think I've been involved in this process for too long! I'm losing my mind.

rofl.gifrofl.gifrofl.gif

 Oh it's a funny dream. Let's have a good laughter! Thanks Saylin! Does the same thing happen for the IV package? (After you pay the IV fee and it's marked as "PAID", does NVC send you IV package by email / postal mail?)

I actually did get information about the IV package. If you look at my signature below, I give the dates for all of that. You can see the contents for yourself, here: http://s128.beta.photobucket.com/user/smurf47/library/Immigration/NVC%20DS-230%20email

And remember, if you give over both email addresses to an operator once a case number is assigned, then all correspondence from NVC is sent by EMAIL. Nothing is sent by postal mail if they have your email addresses.
