Did the NVC complete your case before they forwarded?

Our case is a little different, so in retrospect I shouldn't have compared the two. :blush:

I decided to call today since there is an impending snowstorm heading towards NVC tomorrow, and I'm so glad I did! The lady (who was, luckily, not the grouchy one) told me my case was completed yesterday and is now in line for an interview date! So stoked! :dance:

IV bill finally shows as paid and they received the IV petition this past Monday....how long should I wait before I start calling for case complete?

So Saylin, for the case of an expedite at the NVC stage, at what stage do I get assigned an interview date? I mean I am afraid maybe the embassy is too slow or something and takes forever to assign the date. does it assign it as soon as it receives the papers from NVC?

If the case is approved for an expedite, it's typically sent asap to the embassy where they then assign the interview date. How fast is dependent on the embassy, as with any time frames.

Where on the Manila site did you see it? Are you sure it just wasn't an ad you accidentally clicked on? Cause, personally, it looks like a phishing site to me or one of those get-a-visa-quick sites that just take your money (and possibly information) and do absolutely nothing for you.

My name and info (petitioner) disappeared from the NVC invoice page...

Before it was showing and stating "Not invoiced" but since a few hours that and my name are not there anymore.

My wife's info (under IV) are still there...

Is this normal? Should I be worried?

clicked on Visa's and it took me here http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3023.html, then "If you have already filed a petition or have had a petition filed for you, and your case is current, please see the Immigrant Visa Appointment section on the left side of this page." So I did and then http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3238.html then in this paragraph :Scheduling Appointments for IV or K Petitions

To schedule a visa appointment for IV or K petitions, please contact the Embassy’s Visa Information and Appointment Service at (632) 982-5555 or (632) 902-8930. The Visa Information and Appointment Service is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Manila time), except on Philippine and U.S. holidays. Callers in the U.S should call (214) 571-1600, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. (Eastern Standard Time).

You must have the case number, passport number, and passport expiry date for each applicant (principal applicant and derivative family members) ready when requesting for a visa appointment.

You can also get information and book an appointment online at http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph.
