That's what I'm worried about, if the reviewing office is meticulously picky, I'm screwed. Will he/she send me another checklist if they want more info or just reject it?

One more thought, if the NVC is close tomorrow, what will happen to all the mail they are supposed to receive from us?

If something else is missing, they'll issue you another checklist.

If they close, depending what time, the mail couriers will just deliver later or try again on the day they're open. No worries, it'll make it there!

Yesterday I called NVC asking for my Case Number. The girl told me I will hear something in about 10-20 days. Today I received the e-mail with all the information!!!!!! I am so happy right now!!!!!!

Saylin,

The IV Fee Payment Receipt has my wife's maiden name on it, not our married name like on all the papers. Is that because she didn't change her name on her passport?

I know it take awhile to change her passport name. I am aware that she will need to carry our marrige certificate for international travel.

I am hoping that once she is here, she can change her name on her passport.

If that's true, maybe a good sign for us anxious folks waiting on NVC to continue working on our cases.

Although, if there is heavy snow, I wouldn't want NVC officers to suffer, after-all, they're humans too!

I received my NOA2 February 26th. I called NVC 15 mins ago and was told that they just received my case. At this point should I call them everyday for the Case # or give them another week or so. I was just shocked because I have been reading alot of people cases have not been received.

We were forwarded directly to the embassy and they gave us an appointment. :thumbs: I don't know what Manila does, though.

Our NOA2 date was 15th Feb and NVC received our case on 22nd Feb, we still don't have case # yet. My husband called yesterday and they said to call back next week. So now, we've started making calls daily. My guess is, if you wait a week before making calls everyday, it won't hurt. I don't think they're assigning case #s within a week. But it's totally up to you about how often you want to call.

As it says in the email, they're gonna send the case asap to the embassy. I'd say call the embassy on Monday, see if they have your file. If they do, ask them if they've assigned you an interview and/or what you need to do, if anything (besides getting the medical done).

Congrats by the way on getting your expedite request approved!

Wow, fast! If it's been received, it'd be better if you called every day now to stay on top of things. That case number can be assigned at any moment!
