After you send in the AOS and IV packages, does it take a few week for NVC to make an appointment and send it to the Consulate?

The Consulate does not make the appointment?

First, NVC closes your case, if the packages are both accepted. Then your case is put into queue for an interview date to be scheduled. This varies by embassy/consulate as to how busy they are. Once NVC schedules the interview, your case is sent out to the embassy/consulate.

I don't seem to remember how many photos are needed for the medical? I'm thinking 3? I wasn't sure where to post this, so I posted it here

For Canada, it's 3 yes.gif

Now, I am just confused. May be because I got reply to DS-3032 within few hours. It says

"We received the principal applicant's DS-3032 (Choice of Address and Agent) form designating an address and agent. Instructions for paying the immigrant visa application processing fee and all future correspondence will be sent to the agent at the address selected on the DS-3032. "

Now does it means its accepted?unsure.gif Hopefully

No for IR1/CR1 NVC has the schedule and you will get email from them then they ship off to embassy. How long as all availability and when you got case complete (they call in in the queue waiting for appointment).

I know officially it takes up to 20 business days to review a case, but how long it take to review an RFE? I'd appreciate that if anyone has an answer or estimation.

Same time frames for checklists as the original packages ;)

Methinks NVC data operations finally got 'caught up' and are MAYBE doing stuff 'same day'. That'd be a blessing, really.

Where's the proof? Where's the pudding? Check the NVC Online Payment Portal - see if you get an IV Fee Bill Wednesday or Thursday.

Go Get Em !

Thanks for reply, now I know I have to face the time frame, hehe

Oh, have you ever thought about taking NVC as your second job? :D

PS: for the IV package, I totally submitted 14 docs. I feel somethings really redundant or kinda stupid(just to give myself an excuse for missing something)

Hi everyone,

I got an email from NVC Attorney - with the subject <CASE NUMBER>(LIVAOS COMBINED FOR NEOPOST DS-1200).

Although I am not sure what the subject means but I am was happy to see this email.

In that email there is an attachment of 5 pages. The first 3 pages are instructions and general information.

The 4th page is Affidavit of Support (AOS) Processing Fee Bill Invoice of $88 along with a bar code.

The 5th page is Immigrant Visa Application Processing Fee Bill Invoice of $230 along with a bar code.

I think this means that my DS-3032 was accepted and both my AOS and Packet IV have been invoiced. I went to the payment portal and I can now choose to pay for both.

I just wanted to confirm because I never got a formal email noting that my DS-3032 was accepted (although I did get an email from a supervisor confirming that they have removed the attorney).

So does this mean, I can go to the payment portal and pay the fees. Is there anything else I need to do before paying the fees?
