I got some suntan today, it was nice.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Since my interview date is very close to the tax deadline, do you think the CO will ask for 2012 taxes for sure?? I have my hubby's 2012 W2s, he usually files his returns close to the deadline, if he doesn't get to it before my interview date, do you think the W2's will be enough? or I need to have his taxes?

Thank you, April 4 :)

Awesome! Less than 2 months now from CC to interview for Canada :)

Thank you Saylin! I got a checklist letter. The email says do not reply to it. I think I have to send NVC a new email, wonder what should be in the subject line. Can I say: RFE of Immigration Visa Application for GZOxxxxxxxx? Or something else for speed it up? Thanks! really appreciate that!

Definitely a new email. And don't put RFE at the beginning as it's not a RFE; it's a checklist. I would suggest: GZO###### - Checklist for Immigrant Visa Application.

Ok, thanks Darnell

I have my hubby's 2012 W2s, but he always files his returns last minute lol, if he doesn't get to it before my interview date, do you think the W2's will be enough? or I need to have his taxes?

For Canada, 2012 tax information won't be asked until after the tax deadline. But definitely bring the 2012 W2s, and if he can file soon, then a copy of the tax return (or even better, tax transcripts if there's time).

How do I track my case from NVC to the Consulate? I have no idea how that DHL tracking works :bonk:

That's one particular item I decided not to obsess over. There are so many cases going to Montreal it's hard to know for sure BUT the one time I checked, thanks to someone here who was very good at posting lists of what was moving around, I saw when mine went and arrived (or so I assumed) but when I called DOS the woman never confirmed nor denied that it had arrived at the embassy. I didn't bother with making that call again. I fill out the form on the consulate site inquiring about it and got an email saying that we were all expected there on March 6th and to bring our original items and that they'd have everything else. That was good enough for me.

That looks EXCELLENT good.gif

Sending the email with the subject Supervisor Review worked. I got an email from NVC saying the following

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your inquiry regarding the immigrant visa petition:

We removed the attorney of record from this case. All future correspondence will be sent to the petitioner.

This petition is now eligible for further processing. The petitioner, principal applicant, and/or attorney of record will receive an instruction package regarding further processing of this petition.

Thanks a lot for your help.

I went to the payment portal and see the following message

You cannot make online payments for your case at this time. Please contact the NVC if you have questions or need further information.

I am assuming this is because they are still setting me up for the AOS and DS-230 bills - is that correct?

Woohoo, grats! kicking.gif

And that'll be your AOS bill being invoiced. Your IV bill one won't be invoiced until the DS-3032 has been accepted and added to the case file.

From the state.gov website: http://travel.state..../info_3197.html

IF All three of the following are true:

You filed a Form I-130 petition, for your relative

There is only one applicant on the Form I-130 petition, and

All your qualifying income comes from a salary or pension and shows on one or more W-2 Forms that you receive

THEN

Complete an I-864EZ. on your computer using CAPITAL letters

Review the I-864EZ Checklist

Print the completed form

Attach the bar code sheet, and

Mail them to the NVC unless you have joined the E-Mail Electronic Processing program, then…

Scan the I-864EZ to Portable Document Format (PDF) and send it as an e-mail attachment to NVCElectronic@state.gov. Sending physical documents to the NVC will delay the processing of your case. When sending completed forms to the NVC do not include instruction pages or any other sheets which do not carry information you entered while completing the form.

On a totally different note, I just realized that I didn't complete the form in capital letters. ARGH another thing to worry about!!

Yeah, I got that, I was just wondering if they are spot on or if they request the regular I-864 when sending the checklist... just have a fear that something will go wrong and delay processing. sad.gif

I guess that's what happens when you spend nearly 5 months @ USCIS with pretty much no peep or status updates... PARANOIA!
