Sounds like a fake checklist to me. You could call and confirm receipt of the iv package.

Got a checklist with the cover letter "CHECKLIST COVER LETTER"

The Principal Applicant and any other Applicants who will be accompanying him or her to the United

States must now download and complete an Immigrant Visa Application; please visit the following

website for instructions:

http://immigrantvisas.state.gov (click on the link for "submit Visa application and civil documents")

Please submit the Immigrant Visa Application form(s) and required supporting documents for each

Applicant in one package to the National Visa Center; sending this information separately will delay

your visa.

I sent both the packages together but they seem to have only worked on the AOS packet. Is this what people call a "fake checklist".

I am more worried about this because the DS-230 has all the original documents.

I am currently visiting my wife and her family in Iran so have no access to be able to call NVC till I get back next week (that will be two weeks since I sent the packet)

False Checklist,,,,, This means they have reviewed your AOS packet and didn't know your IV packet was in the building, so they are telling you to send it. But you know it IS there, so all is good.good.gif

They will soon get too it. No worries. I had the exact same email yesterday and my IV packet has been at NVC since monday of last week. I wish they'd hurry up and review it.

[snip]

ya, that sounds like a false checklist; instead just some notice letter.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Not sure how long I will have to wait for an interview as there is not much country specifics for my country on here but at least there is a light at the end of this long dark tunnel. :) Praying I can at least getaway May interview date. B-)

Congratulations!!, Barbados small and the bookings for April are now out... You mostly will get an interview sometime in April, if not the Beginning of May... Nah bajans aint really travelling this month either, so u r good!!

Like others have said, it's a false checklist. Call up to confirm the acceptance of your AOS package ;)

Wow! That's a first! Called NVC and after pressing 1 for English got STRAIGHT through to someone without being on hold at all! Took me by surprise!

Unfortunately a supervisor STILL hasn't reviewed our case regarding the missing birth certificate. However on Monday I sent another original birth certificate just in case they have lost the first one (stress) At this rate that will arrive and be processed before they even look for the other one!

I'm just so worried our chances of a May interview are blown now :( ? I want to be there for our anniversary!! :(

Cat, at the risk of our interview, I heard that in the UK, after your interview is scheduled, you can call the expensive line to ask to change the appointment time, and ask if there is anything earlier. Good luck :)

I will call all the expensive lines I need to! Haha! Thanks for that info! Do you know where I can find that number? Or will it be provided once I'm assigned an interview date? Here's hoping I can do that :D
