It can take a few days. Maybe three or four. You will get your AOS Fee Bill first along with the DS-3032 if you requested all by email. The IV Fee Bill comes after they have received and entered your DS-3032 email so get that in as fast as possible too. Pay your AOS Fee Bill and print out your Cover SHeet and send your AOS packet immediately - don't wait for the portal to show paid. As long as that cover sheet is attached you're fine. The IV Fee Bill will show up on the portal after they have received and entered your DS-3032. Likewise with the IV - don't wait. Print the cover sheet and mail your packet as soon as you can.

Thanks soooo much! I have a lawyer so I wont need to send the DS-3032. He just tells me to wait for the email invoice. But I really don't want to. I want to move things along as soon as I can. He feels since we were approved so fast at the USCIS that I should be more patient  But I am not willing to lose any of that time I gained by waiting when I know there are short cuts that work.

Wait until you receive the Bill for AOS and also the DS-3032 form via email. Then send it again.

Saylin, has this turned into an addiction? I know we are all filled with gratitude for your help, but your own life comes first. Hit the books and get those degrees!!!

[...]

Haha, this turned into an addiction quite awhile ago! laughing.gif Thank goodness I can multi-task! :D

Wow, you truly are super woman. You have time for 2 degrees, work and helping everyone out on this page.

I barely have time for one job and a visa application. :D

CONGRATULATIONS on your accomplishments! and THANK YOU for you time! (F)

Hehe, thanks! ^_^

Ok finally.

So, someone just confirm something for me?

Since I do everything online, there were be actually no need for me to mail anything to the US during this process, right?

If you sign up for EP, then yes, you won't be sending anything to NVC at all; both packages would be emailed.

Congratulations!!!! Hope you are taking a vacation afterward. Would one of these degrees have anything to do with immigration law?:thumbs::dance:

Haha, I wish I was taking a vacation! Once April hits, I'm starting an internship. 40 hours a week. Along with my current part-time job of around an average of 20 hours per week. I'm going to be even more exhausted! laughing.gif Plus, at some point, I need to gather my documents for ROC, as I've only got about a month and a half left before my green card expires headbonk.gif But anyways, at least my internship is only 6 weeks, so once May 10 hits (the day I graduate incidentally), I'll have some free time. I'm planning on going to Canada for a week, probably the beginning of June once I have free time. Then, coming back and looking for a job :)

And nope, neither degree deals with immigration law. This little itty bitty town I moved to doesn't have immigration law as one of the available degrees at their school. I'm going for Programming and Visual Communication though.

Wow, they already got to your DS-3032 email? blink.gif That was fast. Re-send the DS-3032 again. It was rejected because they weren't ready for document intake. But perhaps when they get to your second DS-3032, they'll be ready.

Hi Saylin and friends,

We have our interview in 2 weeks but when I just called DOS this morning they said that although the embassy has received the electronic file, the physical file has not been received. I have called NVC several times and each time they say they had mailed the package on March 6. Is this normal? We have made all the arrangements for travel and are ready for the interview but this is a little worrisome!

I just called to see what was going on and was told that I had no emails on my account so the instructions were mailed today. I gave BOTH emails on Thursday so frustrating. The operator said there is no record of me calling Thursday and that everytime you call it is in the remark section so he does not know who I spoke to and no proof of me calling. On a good note finally got in and I am on my way to the post office to mail the AOS package.

And um, have you paid the AOS bill yet? You can't send the package until the bill is paid...

Hi Saylin and everyone,

I just got an email that my husband's DS-3032 was accepted after sending it a second time via email. However, under "Foreign State of Chargeability" it lists the Mumbai consulate. According to my husband's address, the New Delhi consulate should have jurisdiction over our case. Should I contact the NVC about this?

I am the petitioner.

Okay, good good.gif You should update your timeline/signature then, cause that's why I asked.

Foreign State of Chargeability usually lists a country, not a city, as it's typically the country where the beneficiary was born. It doesn't necessarily mean that's where they're interviewing. Are the three letters of your case number for the Mumbai or New Delhi embassy? That'll tell you write away where you're interviewing. You can confirm with NVC though by calling and asking where you're interviewing.
