Day 3 of waiting for that "in process" notation next to my IV bill to move to "paid". It would be great to see it roll over...especially since our IV packet should arrive at NVC today!

I've been waiting for mine to say paid too. I thought I had to wait until that to send the IV packet but I called today and they said I could go ahead and send it so I just sent it!

Alright, my AOS was accepted and I have my additional proof printed out. I didn't print out a cover letter, however for the IV package, so I'm going to have to do that before I mail it out...as in, here's all the stuff you want plus more stuff for $hits and giggles.

Good Luck!! I think I am going to send in our IV tomorrow with no additional proof...actually I have nothing more to send cause I sent 5 years worth of proof with my original petition.

You can send the DS 3032 before they send it to you. You can get it here http://www.state.gov/documents/organization/80023.pdf People are suggesting the quickest way is to fill it in, print and sign it then scan and email it to NVCINQUIRY@state.gov with the subject message supervisor review. I believe you also need NVC case number, beneficiary full name and DOB in subject line. (I think).

I would call back today and ask for your IIN number. They are open until 12. You probably won't be able to do anything with it today but at least you'll have it!

Send off that email about removing the lawyer, as well as sending the DS-3032 email. Follow the format linked to in the first post. No need to wait for them to mail you correspondence about sending the DS-3032.

The IIN is needed to sign into the payment portal. So, if you want it right away, call back up and request it. Or, you can wait for NVC to send you the initial information package which contains your case number, the IIN, and the DS-3032. But, this could take a couple of days and your AOS can be invoiced in the meantime.

Thank you Saylin - you have been so helpful. So should I be following that link that catsutton148 sent and sign and scan and send the form or should I send just the email according to the instructions in the first post?

Also, I was able to call and spoke to a very polite and helpful gentleman - and he gave me the IIN number.

And I checked the case number and it is starting with NWD - and that stands for New Delhi - this is great because my wife has been living in New Delhi for the past 7 years - she is Iranian.

As someone noted correctly before that - the NVC decides where to send the cases and they decided to send it to New Delhi - even though New Delhi is not one of the consulates that deal with Iranians.

I don't think so - but can this be just an oversight? It is very clear that my wife is Iranian national but it is also clear that she resides in New Delhi - so I don't know if I should call NVC to confirm this or just go with the steps and wait for the case to be completed and the interview to be scheduled?

That's not an expiration date for the form. It's for OMB. Please read post 2 here about "form expiration dates": http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/80942-ds-230-is-expire-today/

There's no need to print and scan and all that. A simple email format will suffice. Either way is fine.

If the case was assigned a NWD number, then it's quite obvious that's where she'll be interviewing. You can confirm this with an operator if you wish.
