Thanks. I just don't understand. This is torture.

If someone started doing it then went home before they finished, that's why it's taking so long. Remember they don't work weekends. Never expect anything to happen on a weekend. If it does, be happily surprised. :)

I thought they worked Saturdays? The call center is just not open. Am I mistaken?

Yes, they issue about 3400 immigrant visas and 8400 non-immigrant visas. Left side is immigrant visas and right is non-immigrant.

I just got dizzy, 10,000+ for Pakistan! I just want an interview and approval before the end of June so my wife can visit for the summer semester break. sad.gif

Thanks for the information anyway, it might be disheartening for me, but i'd rather know waiting instead of wait and not know. I'm sure others will benefit from this too.smile.gif

If they were processing DS-3032 emails the same day yes, but they take 1-2 weeks to accept the DS-3032.

Send the email now, it won't get reviewed until almost 2 weeks from what I was seeing. If you don't get a response saying it was accepted (NOT the automated response) within 3 business days, send another email, same setup as I did (see link below) EXCEPT, add "SUPERVISOR REVIEW" at the beginning of the subject line. I got a response in 27 hours. It took almost 2 weeks to get a response to the original one I sent.

Our case was completed on March 15th and I get the email now....talk about being slow.

Dear Sir or Madam:

The National Visa Center has received all documentation necessary to complete pre-processing

of your case. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the applicant, petitioner

The applicant should NOT make any travel arrangements, sell property, or give up employment

until the US Embassy or Consulate General has issued a visa.

The US Embassy or Consulate General may require additional documentation at the time of

the interview. Additional documentation requirements if applicable can be referenced at

Most government agencies are not open on weekends (US postal service aside.) I can't see the NVC being different unless someone has found otherwise. That's why they say "give it 15 business days" meaning 15 days from M-F. The USCIS allows calls on Saturday's but the offices are closed.

Also just as a note, when I go into work, if I haven't finished something when I leave for the weekend, no one else finishes it. It's my job to finish what I started. I don't finish someone else's project either unless directed to by the store manager. If someone who was scanning in your case went home, likely no one would finish doing it, even if they were open weekends. It would be waiting for that person to get back. The only exception to this would probably be holidays and vacation time.

I don't know if NVC is like USCIS, but I know USCIS allows flex time and some people can work on weekends. I don't think it is very many who choose to do that though.

LOL! You're right, if they do it, I bet not to many people actually go in unless they're bored or need the time off during the week. I know my husband, who works for the FAA, is only on call for weekends. He even purposely works 10 hour shifts when at work so that he can get 3 day weekends. LOL
