Wait, I can mail it even if the online status says *IN PROCESS*?

That changes everything! XD

And im really hoping a kind soul can answer my question as to whether or not my my parents will have to fill out the I-864A separtely or together since they're married and do their taxes together.

Well, you can wait a day and then mail it. It's currently taking a week or more to review packages. I included a copy of the receipt in my packets, so the person reviewing sees that it's been paid just in case the in process status doesn't change. yes.gif

When did you pay your IV bill?

I start getting worried as I paid mine last friday 03/15 and the money has been withdrawn from my account but still shows IN PROCESS on NVC website... (??)

I paid on 03/15 as well, around 7pm eastern, and money has been withdrawn and settled, but still in process as well. I called today and was told that if it doesn't change by Monday, to call and have it fixed. I just logged in and saw a message that they are performing maintainance on Sunday.

AOS is invoiced, got the email. It included the ds-3023 but I did the ds-261. So does that mean the optin email worked?

Hi Saylin, quick question.I am planning to send photocopy of my finality of my annulment to my IV package maybe next week once IV bill shown paid, is it okay a photocopy yet then will bring the original in my interview? it takes awhile to get new certified true copy. My spare was used to my crba's application for my son and takes 2 months to return back. Do you think it will work? Thank you in advance...

Case complete today 3/22/2013.

send both AOS and IV package together and received by NVC 3/13/2013. case complete by nine(9)days. No checklist, Thank God and all members of VJ especially saylin. Folks I think is better to send both package together in one envelope with each barcode as it get reviewed together. The reason I say this is because when i call this morning they told they havent reviewed the package yet and just now when i called the operator told me both packages were reviewed this afternoon and case is completed awaiting interview at the consulate.:dance::dance::dance:

Go ahead and send your DS-3032. It usually takes about a week to review it, so you should be good to go sending it now. Just follow the template that Saylin shows on the first page. Might as well start on that process as well. It doesn't seem to matter whose email it's sent from, judging from what I've seen on these boards, but you can send it from your spouse's email address if you're worried about that part. You don't need to wait for it to be sent to you, now that you have your case number. Go be proactive! laughing.gif

I think I will! Thanks!

[#1029] Your signature exceeds the maximum allowed length. Please go back and shorten it a little.headbonk.gif

Grrrr why

As it states, you've exceeded the limit. You're only allowed 40 lines of code. You need to trim down your signature. Remember, coloring takes up lines of code, as does any other formatting (like font size for example).

Hi Saylin - the form is locked now so I can't change my answers. I tried calling NVC to see what the correct way to fill out the form was (explaining that on the paper form they ask for 10 years, but the online form only says present, etc.)and if I filled it out wrong, but the operator had no idea so she asked a supervisor. The supervisor she spoke with said that even if it was an error, it wasn't a "critical error", and to just bring my employment history to the interview. I asked the operator if that meant it won't affect my getting a case complete, and she said "no it shouldn't because it's not a critical error, BUT if it did, they would send me an email and then unlock the form so I could enter the information."

I'm skeptical to say the least about this answer - I may try calling back a little later to see if I get a more direct answer, but I'm resigned at this point that I'm probably going to get a checklist... *sigh*

Sounds like it shouldn't be an issue. And I'm telling you right now, I've NEVER seen someone get a checklist for the DS-260. NEVER. You'll be fine ;)

I got my case (and other) numbers this week. Got on and paid the AOS bill asap when it was up. Will submit I-864 on Monday after a final review on the weekend.

I am still not able to pay the IV bill though. It doesn't highlight at all. When will I be able to pay it?

Only once the DS-261 has been accepted and added to the case file. When'd you submit the DS-261 and what's the status on it when you call operators?

And all updated! Thanks so much for the reminder! :)

WOOHOO Got our case #, IIN, and the BIN just now  ... After a little bit of a stupid moment by me saying the wrong birth date for my Husband.... It was quite funny, thank gosh the guy was super nice! Now we can really get the show on the road! YAY!

Yay, grats! kicking.gif Did you give over both email addresses?

You receiving the email has nothing to do with the optin. That's just because you gave over both email addresses to an operator. Everyone's eligible to receive correspondence by email. Electronic processing is so YOU can send them information (packages) by email. You'll get a direct reply to your optin email saying it was accepted and you're now enrolled in EP.

For the IV package, all certificates either have to be the original or a certified copy. You can include a photocopy and try requesting that you'll bring the original to the interview. I've seen this work in the past. But there's no guarantee.

Case complete today 3/22/2013.

Argh headbonk.gif Call back again in like an hour, right before they close.

*keeps fingers crossed for you*

Can anyone tell me how long it has taken to get a response on an expedite request is? They received ours on Monday AM. Called today and they are saying they have it but to expect a response sometime next week. Looking at the timeframe other's expedites were handled in I was expecting an answer within a weeks time not two. I guess it's a good sign that it wasn't rejected immediately?? The operator, Mel, was congenial.

Our case has taken one step forward - our AOS packet was accepted - found that out today! kicking.gif

Remember, the expedite request is forwarded to the embassy (NVC doesn't decide on the expedite request). So time frames are going to vary as it depends on how fast the embassy will respond (which is dependent upon work load).

Congrats on AOS acceptance!
